THE LEHMAN TRILOGY Kicks Off The Repertory Theater Of St. Louis Season, September 5- 24

The Repertory Theater of St. Louis (The Rep) the leading regional performing arts theatre in the Midwest, kicks off its 2023/24 Season with The Lehman Trilogy, the 2022 Tony Award-winning Best Play by Stefano Massini, adapted to English by Ben Power, and directed by longtime American Conservatory Theater's Artistic Director Carey Perloff. The production runs from September 5 - 24, 2023 at the Loretto-Hilton Center on the Campus of Webster University.

From July 25th-30th, North Carolina Theatre will be presenting MARY POPPINS at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, which is located inside the Martin Marietta Center for the Performing Arts. I had the great pleasure of interviewing actress Sara Jean Ford, who will be taking on the role of Winifred Banks. Some of her previous Broadway credits include THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, FINIAN’S RAINBOW, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, HOW TO SUCCEED IN BUSINESS WITHOUT REALLY TRYING, and CATS.

Louis Cato Unveils New Song 'Another Day' From Forthcoming Album 'Reflections'

Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Louis Cato is unveiling his new song “Another Day” featuring a duet with Elizabeth Ziman of Elizabeth & The Catapult. The track appears on Cato’s forthcoming album Reflections. Cato is slated to perform an album release show at New York’s (Le) Poisson Rouge on August 11 with special guest Ziman.

This summer, Brooklyn Botanic Garden presents Jean-Michel Othoniel: The Flowers of Hypnosis, an exhibition of six new sculptures sited in three of BBG's best-known gardens. Othoniel's new sculptures for the Garden work on a landscape scale and are born of the artist's passion for and observations of nature and flowers. This is the artist's largest exhibition in the United States since his retrospective at the Brooklyn Museum in 2012.

“Meet Me In St. Louis,” the onstage version of the 1944 film of the same name, is a delightful evening outdoors at Shawnee Mission Park’s Theatre In The Park.  I cannot recall being as pleasantly surprised by a show as I was by this one.  It is a broadly drawn slice of Americana performed by a top-notch cast.  The venue could have been built specifically for this production
