The critically acclaimed Off-Broadway hit, Thornton Wilder's Our Town, will be featured on this Sunday's (1/17) 'CBS Sunday Morning' in a segment by special correspondent Mo Rocca.

August: Osage County, the 2008 Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play that tells the bitingly funny and sensationally entertaining tale of the Weston family of Pawhuska, Oklahoma, is coming to the Fabulous Fox Theatre March 2-14 for 16 performances only.

The producers of the critically acclaimed Off-Broadway hit, Thornton Wilder's Our Town, have announced the sale of a new block of tickets through March 14, 2010.

David Cromer, original director of this incarnation of Our Town as well as the Chicago one at the Hypocrites Theater, will return to stage manage for a few weeks at the end of the year.

Certainly that's what I've been doing lately, looking back over the past year in Nashville theatre as I pencil in dates in my new 2010 (Here's a question to ponder: Is it 'two thousand ten' or 'twenty ten'...think about it and get back to me) calendar for the shows set to open in the months ahead.

Lincoln Center Theater (under the direction of Andre Bishop, Artistic Director, and Bernard Gersten, Executive Producer) has announced that Kate Blumberg, Victoria Clark, Mary Beth Hurt, Rod McLachlan, Susan Pourfar, Will Rogers, Michael Siberry, Richard Topol and Henry Vick will be featured in the cast of its upcoming production of WHEN THE RAIN STOPS FALLING, a new play by Andrew Bovell, directed by David Cromer, which begins previews Thursday, February 11 at 8pm at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street). Opening night for this American premiere of WHEN THE RAIN STOPS FALLING, which is being produced by arrangement with Jean Doumanian and Freddy DeMann, is Monday, March 8 at 6:45pm.

A current production of OUR TOWN playing at the Barrow Street Theatre has recently become the longest running production in the show's history, surpassing the Broadway's record of 337 performances. After opening February 26th of this year, OUR TOWN received critical acclaim and has remained open to sell-out audiences.

The headliners of Broadway's Superior Donuts, now playing at The Music Box Theater, have been billed as stage and screen vet Michael McKean and the play's scribe, Tracey Letts, of Pulitzer Prize fame for her recent August: Osage County. Yet, The New York Times reveals that immersed in the shows ensemble is another star in Jon Michael Hill, a big name in the Chicago theater scene (where Donuts originated), though relatively unknown to the New York and L.A. worlds.

Created by Jean Doumanian, Jeffrey Richards and Rick Steiner ('in association with Janet Pailet,' according to the program), The Great American Trailer Park Musical is about all the rednecks, hicks and white trash you've ever met - well, if you know anybody from the aforementioned groups - and the whole set-up is beyond hilarious and so inspired by the tasteless that you simply cannot go and not enjoy yourself.
