The beloved Broadway tradition continues as Sardi's just added two new caricatures of Tony Award-nominees Reed Birney and Jayne Houdyshell to its walls. BroadwayWorld was there for the special celebration and you can check out photos below!

STARS IN THE ALLEY®, presented by United Airlines, takes place today, Friday, June 3rd from 12:30pm-2:30pm in Shubert Alley, between Broadway and 8th Avenue and 44th and 45th Streets.

Jayne Houdyshell and Reed Birney play husband and wife onstage- Erik and Deirdre Blake in Stephen Karam's The Humans. The play, which originated at the Roundabout Theatre Company last year, earned six Tony nominations, including nods for the duo (Best Performance by an Actor/Actress in a Featured Role in a Play). The American Theatre Wing (Heather Hitchens, President) and The Village Voice (Peter Barbey, Owner) have announced the winners of the 61st Annual Obie Awards. Rajiv Joseph's Guards at the Taj, produced by the Atlantic Theater Company, received the Obie Award® for Best New American Play, which is accompanied by a $1,000 prize. Legendary actor/dancer/choreographer Carmen de Lavallade and renowned playwright A.R. Gurney each received a special Obie Award® for Lifetime Achievement. Obie and Screen Actors Guild® Award-winning actress Lea DeLaria returned as host of this year's ceremony, which was held at Webster Hall (125 East 11th Street).

The Drama League (Executive Artistic Director, Gabriel Shelian-Shanks) gathers today for the 82nd Annual Drama League Awards Ceremony, hosted by 2016 Tony® Award-nominees, Zachary Levi (She Loves Me) and Megan Hilty (Noises Off), in the Broadway Ballroom at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway). 

David Zinn has won the 2016 Tony Award for Best Scenic Design of a Play for Roundabout Theatre Company's THE HUMANS. 

The New York Drama Critics' Circle just presented its 2015-2016 Best Play and Best Musical: Stephen Karam's THE HUMANS and George C. Wolfe, Eubie Blake and Noble Sissle's SHUFFLE ALONG, OR THE MAKING OF THE MUSICAL SENSATION OF 1921 AND ALL THAT FOLLOWED. The selections were made at the organization's 81st annual voting meeting.
