Michael Feinstein to Join Nick Ziobro For CD Release Concert at Birdland, 5/22

Michael Feinstein will join Nick Ziobro, the 17 year-old pop/jazz vocal sensation, as a special guest for his CD release concert at Birdland Jazz Club (315 West 44th Street in Manhattan) on Thursday, May 22 at 6:00 PM. The CD's all-star band - led by Tedd Firth and featuring music legend Bucky Pizzarelli on guitar, Jay Leonhart on bass, Ray Marchica on drums, Brian Pareschi on trumpet and flugelhorn, and Marc Phaneuf on saxophone and clarinet - will also join the concert. Nick's debut album A Lot of Livin' to Do is produced by Michael Feinstein, the two-time Emmy and five-time Grammy Award-nominated vocalist, pianist and musicologist. Barbara Cook and More Set for Symphony Space's WALL TO WALL Cabaret Today

Symphony Space's annual Spring Festival has become one of the season's most keenly awaited events. This year's installment, Sleeping Around: The Cultural Lives of New York's Hotels, may be the most provocative yet. Running from April 26 to May 21, the monthlong festival celebrates New York's landmark hotels, their occupants, and the lengendary boites that nurtured and sustained the evergreen songs and performers of cabaret. Sleeping Around also credits New York's hotels as incubators for film, classical music, and literature, with programs devoted to Andy Warhol, Virgil Thomson, and Dorothy Parker.

Barbara Cook to Bring ARE YOU HAVIN' ANY FUN? to Symphony Space Tomorrow

Tony and Grammy Award winner and 2011 Kennedy Center Honoree Barbara Cook will be returning to New York-area stages with her new concert ARE YOU HAVIN' ANY FUN? Barbara Cook in Concert, with upcoming performances scheduled for: Saturday, April 26 at Symphony Space in Manhattan; Saturday, May 10 at the Colden Auditorium at the Kupferberg Center at Queens College; Saturday, May 31 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center in South Orange, New Jersey; and at the Tarrytown Music Hall in Tarrytown, NY on Saturday June 14.

Nick Ziobro to Debut New CD at Birdland, 5/22

Nick Ziobro, the 17 year-old pop/jazz vocal sensation, will release his debut album A Lot of Livin' to Do on Tuesday, May 20. The new disc, produced by Michael Feinstein - the two-time Emmy and five-time Grammy Award-nominated vocalist, pianist and musicologist - and available through Titanium Entertainment, will be available in stores and digital outlets such as iTunes and Amazon.com. The album's debut single 'This Guy's In Love with You' is now available on iTunes.

Photo Coverage: Karen Wyman Plays the Metropolitan Room

In her 2nd of four shows at the Metropolitan Room, Karen Wyman continues her return to the singing stage after a 25 year absence. In this performance Kenny Ascher noted pianist/composer/arranger was at the keyboard subbing for her musical director John Oddo. Her new show, "The Second Time Around", also features Jay Leonhart on bass, and Eddie Caccabale on drums. Dennis Deal is her stage director. Her next shows are March 19th and 26th at 7 PM.
