This summer, the King's Head Theatre is proud to present I Went To a Fabulous Party..., a new play by debut writer And Davies, both at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and at its Islington home. The play looks at the generational differences presented by the gay community, with a cast age-range of 20 years. A warm, funny, moving, honest play about being a gay man in 2015 in the UK, it explores the superficial nature of dating apps, the need for good looks and fab abs, and the most challenging coming out of all, to yourself!
Stage and screen icon Tony Danza ('Who's The Boss,' 'Taxi'), who made his acclaimed Broadway return this season in the new musical HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, will hit the road in 2016 in the North American Tour of the production. Additional casting, tour dates and venues will be announced at a later date.

The 2nd Annual Summer Series kicks off with Jason Robert Brown's The Last 5 Years July 23-August 2. Starring Cabaret at The Merc favorites Allen Everman and Lisa Livesay in the roles of Jamie and Cathy respectively, The Last 5 Years is an emotionally powerful and intimate musical about two New Yorkers in their twenties who fall in and out of love over the course of five years. The show's unconventional structure consists of Cathy, the woman, telling her story backwards while Jamie, the man, tells his story chronologically; the two characters only meet once, at their wedding in the middle of the show. The production will be directed by Susan Jordan DeLeon, who starred in the Summer Series production of Next To Normal in 2014.
