Today, Marriott Rewards is launching a creative movement to amplify support for the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community through a powerfully vibrant art installation that encourages everyone to see themselves and to be themselves. #LoveTravels' newest chapter will lend support directly to transgender lives and leaders through the dedication of the art installation.

On Sunday, March 20, the third annual "Dreamer Dinner" will take place at the Skirball Cultural Center to benefit "I Have a Dream" Foundation Los Angeles' (IHADLA) ongoing efforts to provide educational support for local at-risk youth.

The Make-Up Artists and Hair Stylists Guild (MUAHS, IATSE Local 706) tonight announced winners of its Annual Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards in 23 categories of film, television, commercials and live theater. Winners in the film categories include 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' 'Cinderella,' 'Furious 7' and 'Pitch Perfect 2.' Television winners included 'American Horror Story: Hotel,' 'Game of Thrones,' 'Dancing With the Stars,' 'The Walking Dead' and 'Scream Queens.'

The 2016 Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards Show will be held Saturday February 20 at Paramount Studios Theatre, Hollywood.

Allen, has found an audience with material that is both challenging and truly funny.

Tituss Burgess introduced a performance of Adam Lambert and sang a bit of 'All By Myself' at the Logo Trailblazer Honors. He also gave a nod to the Supreme Court's ruling on marriage equality.

I have to say that when it comes to Kander and Ebb's "Cabaret" I prefer my Kit Kat Club dirty, my Sally Bowles damaged and my Berlin dangerous. And while the current production at Village Theatre has all of those elements, they're all very safe versions of those elements. And while director Brian Yorkey attempted a very thoughtful telling of the story, often times the pacing was so deliberately slow as to lose any urgency of the moment.

Point Foundation (Point) just honored actor Jonathan Groff, with the Point HORIZON Award. The Award recognizes a young trailblazer who has taken a leadership role as an advocate of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) community. Groff, currently starring in HBO's critically acclaimed series 'Looking' and appearing in the Public Theater's hit musical 'Hamilton,' was nominated for a Tony Award for his performance in 'Spring Awakening.' The I HAVE A DREAM Foundation - Los Angeles is pleased to host the Annual Dreamer Dinner, honoring champions of education in the Los Angeles area. The event will take place on Sunday, March 8 at 5pm at the Skirball Cultural Center's Ahmanson Ballroom, 2701 N. Sepulveda Blvd. in Los Angeles. Honorees include Chris Selak, Bradley Bredeweg & Peter Paige, Jerry Fink & David Kim, and Jason Collins. Presenters for the evening include Lionsgate TV Chairman Kevin Beggs and Rosie O'Donnell.

A series of journal entries may work well as a literary device but as a theatrical endeavor it tends to fall flat. Unfortunately, Village Theatre's current stage interpretation of Jules Verne's famous novel "Around the World in 80 Days" falls into the latter category as the storytelling gets itself mired in such a passive voice that it just wasn't very interesting.
