The Oscar-nominated actress discusses making her Broadway debut in THE CRUCIBLE.

The new American play Eclipsed by Danai Gurira, starring Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong'o, officially opened last night, March 6th, 2016 on Broadway at the Golden Theatre (252 W. 45th Street). The play also stars Pascale Armand, Akosua Busia, Zainab Jah and Saycon Sengbloh and is directed by Liesl Tommy. The Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's The Crucible begins tonight, March 1, after moving its original start date to allow star Saoirse Ronan (a Best Actress Oscar nominee for her performance in the film BROOKLYN) to attend the Oscars in Los Angeles over the weekend.

Just in, the upcoming Broadway revival of Arthur Miller's The Crucible has moved its first preview to allow star Saoirse Ronan (a Best Actress Oscar nominee for her performance in the film Brooklyn) to attend the Oscars in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 28.

Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Leading the production are Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth). BroadwayWorld has just learned that Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE will return to Broadway at the Walter Kerr Theatre (219 West 48th Street) this spring. Bill Camp (as Reverend John Hale), Jim Norton (as Giles Corey), Tavi Gevinson (as Mary Warren), and Jason Butler Harner (as Reverend Samuel Parris) are among those who will join previously announced stars Ben Whishaw (as John Proctor), Sophie Okonedo (as Elizabeth Proctor), Saoirse Ronan (as Abigail Williams), and Ciaran Hinds (as Deputy-Governor Danforth).

Rock musical 'Girlfriend' opened at the Center Theatre Group/Kirk Douglas Theatre last Sunday, July 19 at 6:30 p.m. Featuring a book by Todd Almond and music and lyrics by Matthew Sweet, the rock musical about first love will continue through August 9. It was a winning night at Fenway Park for the Commonwealth Shakespeare Company and the hometown fans as they celebrated with an all-star roster for SHAKESPEARE AT FENWAY. The one-night event had comedy, tragedy, and some extra excitement (not unlike the Red Sox) for a great start to CSC's 20th anniversary season.
