DULAANG U.P., the official theatre organization of the University of the Philippines (U.P.), stages the Filipino adaptation of German playwright Friedrich Schiller's MARY STUART (Maria Stuart). Translated into Filipino by award-winning writer Allan Pallileo and directed by professor Tony Mabesa, the play will run from November 18 to December 6, 2009 at the Wilfrido Ma. Preview performances began Saturday, September 12th, for the critically acclaimed Donmar Warehouse production of William Shakespeare's HAMLET with Jude Law in the title role, directed by Michael Grandage. The production officially opened last night, October 6th, at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). HAMLET will play a strictly limited run of 12 weeks only.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey has announced final casting for Hamlet, which begins the Fall portion of its Fantastic Voyages season.

The Donmar Warehouse production of Friedrich Schiller's MARY STUART, starring Janet McTeer as Mary, Queen of Scots and Harriet Walter as Elizabeth I, in a new version by Peter Oswald and directed by Phyllida Lloyd is now in the final week of its limited run on Broadway at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street). The critically acclaimed production plays through Sunday, August 16 only.
