Producing Artistic Director Michael Lluberes unveiled an exciting lineup of shows for Flint Repertory Theatre's 2018/2019 Season at The Rep's Season Announcement Party.

Flint Youth Theatre - Michigan's Professional Theatre for Young Audiences presents The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe adapted for stage by Joseph Robinette, based on the book by C.S. Lewis. Performances for this thrilling new adaptation are Saturday December 2 through Sunday December 17. Tickets are now on sale.

MSF's Hotly Anticipated 2018 Season On Sale! Artistic Director Janice L Blixt - director of Measure for Measure and The Rover - and Artistic Associate Robert Kauzlaric - director of The Tempest - are excited to share some of the casting decisions already made for the 2018 MSF Season. Theater professionals from across Michigan will gather Aug. 28 when The 2017 Wilde Awards are presented at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in the Detroit suburb of West Bloomfield.

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival, the Official Shakespeare Festival of the State of Michigan, opened their final two productions of the 2017 Season.  Saturday night was the opening of Shakespeare's political tragedy JULIUS CAESAR starring MSF Artistic Associates Robert Kauzlaric as Brutus and Brandon St. Clair Saunders as Cassius and directed by Producing Artistic Director Janice L Blixt.

Twenty years ago the fledgling Jackson Shakespeare Festival mounted a production of The Taming Of The Shrew. In the director's chair was internationally-renowned actor/director/playwright John Neville-Andrews. On stage was the first pairing of Janice Waldron and David Blixt, playing opposite each other as Kate and Petruchio. Waldron had just graduated from the Hilberry conservatory program in Detroit, while Ann Arbor native Blixt had performed as Mercutio at the festival the previous year. The results were electric.

The Michigan Shakespeare Festival, the Official Shakespeare Festival of the State of Michigan, designated by the Governor and State Legislature, continued their 2017 "Lend Me Your Ears" reading series with Noel Coward's sophisticated comedy PRIVATE LIVES.  The reading, held at Jackson's Symphony Orchestra Hall (which also houses the offices of the MSF), featured touring company actors Derek Ridge and Sara Long, long-time artistic associate David Blixt, and Producing Artistic Director Janice L Blixt.
