Ivan Shulman, Music Director of the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra (LADSO), has announced the orchestra will kick off its 2010 - 2011 (57th Annual) Season, in their new permanent artistic home at the historic Ebell of Los Angeles. During the course of LADSO's Inaugural Season in residence at The Ebell of Los Angeles, the orchestra will present two concert programs in the Grand Lounge, one on November 12, 2010, and another on March 20, 2011. The season will culminate with a performance in the Wilshire Ebell Theatre on Sunday, June 5, 2011.
Producer Daryl Roth announces that following a sold out developmental run last spring, THE DIVINE SISTER, the new comedy written by and starring Charles Busch, directed by Carl Andress, will transfer to the SoHo Playhouse (15 Vandam Street) featuring the entire original company: Alison Fraser, Amy Rutberg, Jennifer Van Dyck, Jonathan Walker, and Julie Halston.
The National Flute Association will host its 38th Annual Convention in Anaheim, California, August 12 - 15, 2010 at the Anaheim Marriott with over 3,000 flutists, composers, flute scholars and flute enthusiasts from all over the world. The public is invited to attend the concerts and workshops that are offered Thursday through Sunday during the convention. The theme for the NFA convention this year is 'Illuminating Tradition,' paying homage to the NFA's heritage as an organization that serves to inspire, enrich and educate.

Hockey Day in Canada is this Saturday, January 30th and in preparation for the big event, members of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival are squaring off in a hockey game on Friday January 29th.
