The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association today announced the following updates to the 2018/19 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall.  

Jazz-funk drummer and worldwide recording artist Isaiah Stewart announces the release of his fifth album “Summer Beat,” featuring world-renowned jazz trumpeter Randy Brecker.

Presenting a satirical look at the week in news, politics and current events, as well as addressing broader issues, the Emmy®-winning LAST WEEK TONIGHT WITH JOHN OLIVER continued its fifth season SUNDAY, APRIL 8 (11:05-11:40 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO. Topics include EPA head Scott Pruitt's alleged ethics violations, Hungary's parliamentary election and pregnancy crisis centers.

GHOSTLIGHT DELUXE, an imprint of Ghostlight Records, has released Take Me to the World - the long-awaited third album from two-time Tony Award winner Sutton Foster - today, Friday, June 1. Cortland Repertory Theatre kicks off their 47th annual summer season at the Little York Pavilion in Preble with the hysterical ship-board comedy Rough Crossing by Tom Stoppard which he "freely adapted" from Ferenc Molnar's comedy Play At The Castle. Performances will run from June 6th - 16th with evening show times at 7:30 PM.  Matinees are available on June 8th, 10th and 13th at 2:00 PM.

McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage (COD), presents the 2018 Lakeside Pavilion Free Outdoor Summer Series. Programming runs July 12-Aug.10 and includes a Thursday evening Family Movie Series, the Thursday evening WDCB Live Jazz Concert Series and a Friday evening Pop Music Series. One of the highlights of the Friday evening series promises to be the July 20 New Philharmonic pops concert, which will be broadcast on Facebook Live for the second year in a row. New for this season: To help insure everyone's safety in light of the growing popularity of the series, seating for films and evening concerts will begin at 6 p.m. No admittance will be allowed prior to 6 p.m. for sound check and security reasons.  Admission to Lakeside Pavilion Summer Series events and parking is always free.

HBO has renewed the late-night series WYATT CENAC'S PROBLEM AREAS for a second season, it was announced today by Nina Rosenstein, executive vice president, HBO Programming.

Due to an unexpected medical situation that requires immediate attention, Bonnie Raitt will no longer be able to join James Taylor & His All-Star Band for the first portion of their previously announced summer tour. Following her annual physical, it was determined she needs to schedule some surgery soon. The prognosis is good and a full recovery is expected.
