The Music Center to Present JONI 75: A Birthday Celebration Live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion

The Music Center has added James Taylor, Brandi Carlile and Scarlet Rivera to the previously announced powerful line-up of singers and musicians who will honor Joni Mitchell on her 75th birthday as part of JONI 75: A Birthday Celebration Live at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion* on November 6 and 7, 2018. James Taylor and Brandi Carlile will join Glen Hansard, Emmylou Harris, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan, Diana Krall, Kris Kristofferson, Los Lobos, Graham Nash, Seal, and Rufus Wainwright to perform songs from Mitchell's prolific career. Scarlet Riverawill be a featured guest member of the band. Co-musical directors providing the musical arrangements for the evenings are drummer Brian Blade, who recorded three studio albums and toured extensively with Mitchell, and, pianist, composer, arranger producer Jon Cowherd. The Music Center's Artistic Advisor Jorn Weisbrodt is the creator of the two evenings, and Danny Kapilian is the music producer.

Pop rock trio HANSON announce the release date for their highly anticipated double-album String Theory, which is set for November 9, available at major retailers. Premiering exclusively with NPR Music is 'Siren Call,' the first full song and video from the String Theory project, featuring the band performing with a 46-piece Orchestra. String Theory dates are already slated to reach fans across North America this fall, with the first leg of international tour dates in Europe and Australia set to be announced later this month. The landmark symphonic project, follows the band's sold out 25th Anniversary World Tour in 2017.

Mark Stuart Dance Theatre (MSDT) will celebrate their 10th anniversary gala, honoring 10 years of art inspiring change, on Sunday, September 16, 2018 at 5pm at New York Live Arts Theater (219 W 19th St). The gala will include a performance of When Change Comes: A Movement Forward, which is playing a limited tour in September of 2018. Legendary country duo the LOUVIN BROTHERS (1956-1963) were arguably one of the biggest country duos of their time, and unreleased demo recordings from their early years will be heard for the first time September 28 when Modern Harmonic releases Love And Wealth: The Lost Recordings. The 29 songs (and one warm, spoken audio letter) have never been released before, although a few of these cuts have been covered by other artists.
