If/Then opened last week at the Richard Rodgers Theatre on Broadway, with Tony winner Idina Menzel leading the cast, which also features Anthony Rapp, LaChanze, James Snyder, Jerry Dixon,Jenn Colella, Jason Tam, Tamika Lawrence, and Jackie Burns. If/Then is a contemporary new musical that follows two distinct storylines in the life of Elizabeth, a city planner who moves back to New York to restart her life in this city of infinite possibilities. When her carefully designed plans collide with the whims of fate, Elizabeth's life splits into two parallel paths. If/Thenfollows both stories simultaneously as this modern woman faces the intersection of choice and chance.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, MASTERWORKS BROADWAY will release the Original Broadway Cast Recording of If/Then. Produced by Steve Epstein, Tom Kitt and David Stone, the album was recorded yesterday, April 7 in anticipation of a June 3, 2014 release. Broadway superstar and internationally recognized vocal artist Idina Menzel is currently starring in her Broadway return via brand new Broadway musical IF/THEN and the talented triple-threat has taken to Twitter to share a behind the scenes glimpse at the cast recording for the show.

The cast and creative team of IF/THEN was at MSR Recording Studios in New York City today to work on the show's Original Broadway Cast Recording, which will be released by Masterworks Broadway on June 3, 2014. REEFER MADNESS, the cult classic with book and lyrics by Kevin Murphy and book and music by Dan Studney which will return to New York City 13 years after it's limited off-Broadway engagement for a one night only concert event at New World, has added Lea Delaria ('Orange is the New Black'), Amy Spanger (Elf, 'Reefer Madness' film), Andrea McArdle (Annie), John Kassir (Reefer Madness), Lesli Margherita (Matilta) and Jenna Leigh Green (Wicked) to it's lineup. Previously announced cast members include Alan Cumming (Cabaret, 'The Good Wife'), Christian Campbell (Reefer Madness), and Thomas Dekker ('The Secret Circle,' 'A Nightmare on Elm Street').

25 years to the day the film was released, HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL, the new stage adaptation of Daniel Waters' iconic 1989 dark comedy, made its New York premiere at New World Stages. Written by Olivier Award winner and Tony Award nominee Laurence O'Keefe and Emmy Award winner Kevin Murphy, HEATHERS: THE MUSICAL is directed by famed stage and screen director Andy Fickman, with choreography by Emmy Award winner Marguerite Derricks.
