Acorn Media (British TV) and Athena (Best Documentaries) DVD Release Calendar, July 27: Agatha Christie's Poirot, The Movie Collection, Set 5 (DVD debut) - PBS Mystery!'s most-watched detective returns in three all-new, star-studded movies starring fan-favorite David Suchet. Set includes new adaptation of the iconic Murder on the Orient Express and behind-the scenes program.

Confirming speculation previously reported by BroadwayWorld, the Old Vic today announced three new productions today, marking the seventh season of work under Kevin Spacey's tenure as Artistic Director. This new season continues The Old Vic's tradition as a great actors' theatre, championing both established and young talent under the guidance of some of the greatest theatre directors in Britain.

London's Trafalgar Studios will host their third annual production of POTTED POTTER, the 70-minute Harry Potter experience. The performance, spanning all seven novels, will run from December 8th to January 2nd. The show is written and performed by Daniel Clarkson and Jefferson Turner and is directed by Richard Hurst.

Sundance Institute announced today the lineup of films selected to screen in the U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions for the 25th Sundance Film Festival. In addition to the four Competition categories, the Festival presents films in five out-of-competition sections to be announced tomorrow. The 2009 Sundance Film Festival runs January 15-25 in Park City, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Sundance, Utah.

Alan Dale, best know on television for playing Publishing mogul Bradford Meade in Ugly Betty, will join the London cast of Monty Python's Spamalot at the Palace Theatre from 3 March 2008 to play King Arthur, following in the footsteps of Tim Curry, Simon Russell Beale and Peter Davison (who continues in the role until 1 March 2008).
