Dixon Place's new production, THE ABSOLUTE BRIGHTNESS OF LEONARD PELKEY, begins performances tomorrow, Saturday, February 7th at 7:30 PM. The play is set to open on Sunday, February 22nd at 6:00 PM. Based on his best-selling novel, the production features critically acclaimed, Emmy nominated and award-winning storyteller James Lecesne, who portrays the life and characters of a Jersey Shore town where a young boy goes missing. The play is directed by Tony Speciale, with visuals by Matthew Sandager and incidental music by Duncan Sheik, some of which will be released in his new record 'Legerdemain' in April 2015. Two-time Tony nominee Jayne Atkinson (CRIMINAL MINDS, HOUSE OF CARDS) will direct a benefit production of MOTHERHOOD OUT LOUD at Berkshire Theatre Group's Unicorn Theatre in Stockbridge on March 28th and 29th as part of the Berkshire Festival of Women Writers. Proceed from the production, co-produced by Atkinson and Susan Rose, will benefit WAM Theatre and the Berkshire Festival of Women Writers. The cast will feature Jane Kaczmarek (MALCOLM IN THE MIDDLE and the upcoming FOX sitcom HERE'S YOUR DAMN FAMILY), Michel Gill (HOUSE OF CARDS) and Academy Award winner James Lecesne, as well as local guest artists Amber Chand, Tammy Denease, Tyler Malik, Corinna May, Rachel Siegel and Barbara Sims. After successful productions across the country, including an off-Broadway run at Primary Stages in New York City, this will be its Berkshire premiere.

Motherhood Out Loud is a collection of short theatrical works by award-winning American playwrights, television writers and novelists. It received a triumphant World Premiere at Hartford Stage, a West Coast premiere at the Geffen Playhouse (as In Mother Words) and had a successful New York run at Primary Stages. The show is now being licensed for professional and non-professional productions throughout the U.S. and Canada and has opened to rave reviews in many markets.
