Tony Winner Daisy Eagan Comes to Rockwell Table & Stage with Special Guest Adam Pascal, 4/21

Rockwell Table & Stage is thrilled to welcome actress and singer Daisy Eagan, the youngest female Tony Award Winner premieres her new one woman show, One For My Baby, (self-written with direction by Drew Droege and musical direction by Brandon James Gwinn) with special guest, Tony Nominee Adam Pascal (Rent, Aida, Chess) on Monday, April 21st, 2013 at Rockwell Table & Stage (1714 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027) at 8 p.m. with proceeds benefitting the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles (www.gmcla.org).

American Players Theatre Sets 2014 Season: THE SEAGULL, AMERICAN BUFFALO & More

American Players Theatre (APT) announces its 35th Season, June 7 to November 9, 2014, a diverse lineup spanning from Shakespeare to Mamet and helmed by recently appointed Artistic Director Brenda DeVita-the company's first new artistic director in over 20 years. DeVita's season includes the first David Mamet production of the company's history, American Buffalo, and her staging of Joan Didion's memoir The Year of Magical Thinking in APT's intimate 200-seat Touchstone Theatre, alongside such classics as Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing and Romeo and Juliet in APT's flagship 1148-seat outdoor amphitheater Up the Hill.

ZURICH MEETS NEW YORK: A Festival of Swiss Ingenuity Set for 5/16-23

Performing and visual artists, scientists and urban planners, public intellectuals and researchers will come together to examine the far-reaching influence of one of Europe's great cities, as New York hosts Zurich Meets New York: A Festival of Swiss Ingenuity, May 16-23. The multi-venue, citywide festival takes its inspiration from the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Dada movement, founded in Zurich by refugees fleeing World War I, and the city's current role as a global center of artistic and scientific innovation. In all, 25 events will engage audiences in panels and performances highlighting the contemporary relevance of visionary movements and ideas born in Zurich and their impact on American culture.

'A Little Piece of a Great Big Soul' Meet the Full Cast of Broadway's OF MICE AND MEN, Beginning Tomorrow!

Directed by Tony Award-winner Anna D. Old Vic Announces 2014-15 Season; Kevin Spacey to Return to the Stage in CLARENCE DARROW

The Old Vic today announced its programme for Summer/Autumn 2014. The CQS Space, The Old Vic in the round, will be home to the whole season of productions, continuing after Other Desert Cities which opens this month. The plays will be performed in the round, a transformation of The Old Vic's auditorium first seen for the award-winning 2008 production of The Norman Conquests. The season of productions is supported for the fourth consecutive year by Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

Virginia Rep Presents SHREK: THE MUSICAL, Now thru 4/27

Virginia Repertory Theatre opens their biggest show in the Children's season, Shrek, The Musical tonight, March 14 at the Children's Theatre of Virginia at Willow Lawn, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive. The show will run through April 27, 2014 and is based on the Academy Award-winning film, Shrek. With book and lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire and music by Jeanine Tesori, the timeless fairytale of rescued damsel in distress takes many fun and quirky twists as the green and stinky swampland ogre saves Princess Fiona and wins her love. The show lasts about two hours with intermission and is best enjoyed by children and adults alike 5 years and older

Writers Theatre to Present DANCE OF DEATH, 4/1-7/20

Writers Theatre presents The Dance of Death by August Strindberg, in a new version by Conor McPherson and directed by Henry Wishcamper. The production runs April 1 - July 20, 2014 at 664 Vernon Avenue, Glencoe. The press openings are April 9 and 10, 2014 at 7:30pm.

Northlight Theatre Brings CHAPATTI to Galway Arts Festival, July 2014; Debuts in Chicago, Now thru April 13

Chicago-Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces a forthcoming artistic exchange with Ireland through the co-production of Chapatti, a new work developed through Northlight's Interplay program. The co-production of Chapatti will premiere at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie, today, March 7-April 13, 2014, and will open at the Galway Arts Festival in July 2014. Chapatti, by acclaimed Irish playwright Christian O' Reilly, will be directed by Artistic Director BJ Jones and will feature John Mahoney and Penny Slusher.

Remy Bumppo Announces First All-Comedy Season; Introduces New Ensemble Members

Remy Bumppo Theatre Company is calling its 18th season 'Welcome to the Fun House,' and the fun will come in many forms, from political satire to deadly jokes to a world of laughter and revolutions with takes on The Importance of Being Earnest. The three plays look at very different aspects of life and comedy, each through its own fabulous Fun House mirror distortion.

STAGE TUBE: SIDE SHOW Flashback- Emily Skinner & Alice Ripley Sing 'I Will Never Leave You'

Side Show, based on the true life story of conjoined twins Daisy and Violet Hilton, is set to be revived at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. in performances running from June 14 - July 13, 2014. Side Show originally opened on Broadway in 1997, starring Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner as the Hilton twins. Telling the story of their rise from circus attractions to famous vaudeville performers during the Great Depression, Side Show brings us the sisters' lifelong search for fortune, romance, and a spot on the stage.

Play With Your Food Lunchtime Theatre Series to Feature MOLLY AND JAMES, THE INTERVIEW and BABY FOOD, 3/4-11

Play With Your Food (PWFY) - Fairfield County's innovative lunchtime theater series -- has announced the selections for its upcoming productions in Westport (March. 4-6) and Fairfield (March 11). The selections for March will be filled with excitement and humor, promises Artistic Director Carole Schweid. Productions will include Molly and James by Sheila Walsh, The Interview by A.R. Gurney and Baby Food by Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire.

Open Fist Theatre's THE DEAD Extends Through Feb 23

The Open Fist Theatre Company announces that their critically acclaimed production, James Joyce's THE DEAD, book by Richard Nelson; music by Shaun Davey; lyrics conceived and adapted by Nelson and Davey; based on the short story by James Joyce. With choreography by Christine Sang, musical direction by Dean Mora and original direction by Charles Otte. James Joyce's THE DEAD is adding two performances, Thursday, Febraury 20 at 8pm and Sunday, February 23 at 8pmat Greenway Court Theatre, 544 North Fairfax Avenue in Hollywood.

Pig Iron's TWELFTH NIGHT Adds 2/22 Performance at Abrons

From February 4-23, Abrons Art Center presents the New York premiere of Pig Iron Theatre Company's Twelfth Night, or What You Will. Start with a shipwreck, take one part mistaken identity, add in a comedic love triangle and mix with excessive drinking, melodramatic breakdowns and a live, Balkan-inspired score, and you've got a raucous take on one of Shakespeare's most wicked comedies. Alternately absurd and heartfelt, Twelfth Night, or What You Will is replete with practical jokes, gender confusion, and thwarted love.
