The Milwaukee LGBT Film/Video Festival jump-starts Milwaukee's fall film festival season with a special advanced screening of the highly anticipated new film Howl, from acclaimed documentarians Rob Epstein (The Times of Harvey Milk) and Jeffrey Friedman (The Celluloid Closet).

Lead producer Michael Cohl today announced the complete cast for SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark, which begins rehearsals this morning. Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark will begin previews at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street) on November 14, with opening night set for December 21.

'Saturday Night Live,' NBC's Emmy Award-winning late-night comedy showcase, enters its 35th season September 26, 2009 for another year of laughs, surprises and great performances.

Outfest, the Los Angeles-based nonprofit organization dedicated to nurturing, showcasing and protecting lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) images, has announced an original and diverse programming lineup for Outfest 2010: The 28th Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. The nation's leading LGBT festival and the oldest film festival in the city will be held July 8 to 18.

Production has begun on One Day, the feature film version of the internationally praised novel of the same name by David Nicholls, which this month enters The New York Times bestseller list. Academy Award nominee Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess star in the movie. One Day is a co-production in the unique partnership of Random House Inc.'s Random House Films division and Focus Features. The U.K.'s Film4 is co-financing.

Amber Tamblyn has signed on to appear in the upcoming season of HOUSE for a multi-episode story arc. She will play a brilliant and aggressive medical student whom DR. HOUSE (Hugh Laurie) hires as a new team member although she is technically not yet qualified to practice medicine. Tamblyn's character will be confronted with the morally and ethically questionable way that House practices medicine.
