Two-time Tony Award-winning actress Judith Ivey portrays that great woman of American letters -- letters from readers seeking advice, that is -- when she plays the legendary, trailblazing columnist Ann Landers in David Rambo's play THE LADY WITH ALL THE ANSWERS Off-Broadway this fall, which started performances October 7, 2009 at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St.) in New York City. B.J. Jones directs. The production will run through November 29. Opening night is scheduled for October 14.

Conceived, written, and performed by Ms. Smith and directed by Leonard Foglia, LET ME DOWN EASY will begin preview performances on Tuesday, September 15 and will officially open on Wednesday, October 7 at 6:45pm.

LITTLE ROCK presents untold stories of nine young teenagers otherwise known as the 'Little Rock Nine' and their struggles, strengths, hardships, and triumphs over the tragic events of the 1957 Little Rock crisis. Burning Coal Theatre Company's 2009/2010 LobbyLectures series begins on Saturday, September 26th at 6 pm with A CONVERSATION WITH GERALD FREEDMAN. Gerald Freedman directed the original production of Ragni, Rado & McDermott's HAIR at Joseph Papp's Public Theatre in 1967. He is currently Dean of the School of Drama at UNC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem.

Zakes Mokae, apartheid activist and Tony Award winning actor for Master Harold...And The Boys died on Friday of complications from a stroke in Las Vegas at age 75. The South African actor additionally appeared on Broadway in The Song of Jacob Zulu, Blood Knot, and A Lesson From Aloes. His work was largely focused on bringing attention to the brutality of the apartheide. Mokae also suffered from Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.
