Nigel Redden, Director of the Lincoln Center Festival, which runs from July 7 through July 25, 2010, today announced the Festival's line-up, which includes ten North American, U.S., and New York premieres, and debuts. The Festival will unfold in seven venues on and off the Lincoln Center campus, including two major theater events on Governors Island-the North American premiere of Peter Stein's 12-hour marathon production of Dostoyevsky's The Demons (also known as The Possessed) and the North American premiere of Toneelgroep Amsterdam's production of Pier Paolo Pasolini's searing Teorema, adapted and staged by Ivo van Hove.

Saxophonist Charles Neville, bassist George Kaye, and singer Moonlight Davis will join artist faculty Dianne Walker, Harold Kromer, and music director Paul Arslanian for The School at Jacob's Pillow's first ever Tap Program. In addition to rigorous movement training, the dancers of the professional advancement Tap Program will also work with these acclaimed musicians and will offer two free public showings during their time at The School at Jacob's Pillow. Both free public showings on July 3 and 10 will feature live music.

Over his career, KRS-One has been known by several pseudonyms, including Kris Parker, KRS One, KRS-ONE (as given at his site), The Blastmaster and The Teacha. KRS-One is an acronym for '‘K'nowledge ‘R'eigns ‘S'upreme ‘O'ver ‘N'early ‘E'veryone'. KRS One is a significant figure in the hip hop community and is often referenced in works by other hip hop artists and critics as being the ‘essence' of an MC and one of the greatest to ever hold the mic.
