The star-studded Broadway production of the backstage comedy It's Only A Play, by 4-time Tony Award winner Terrence McNally, opened on October 9, 2014, at Broadway's Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre (236 West 45th Street). Screendaily.com reports that Matthew Broderick and Alice Eve are set to star in Neil LaBute's comedy drama DIRTY WEEKEND. The film, written by LaBute, is currently in production on location in New Mexico.
Douglas Hodge stars as Willy Wonka in the brand-new production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Theatre Royal Drury Lane in London. According to Deadline.com, stage and screen star Matthew Broderick has signed on for an untitled comedy for CBS. The project will be directed by James Burrows and will center on Jack (played by Broderick) 'a recently widowed father who raises his 12-year old son while jumping back into the dating pool.'
A Christmas Story, The Musical arrived on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre just in time for the 2012 holiday season. Based on the 1983 movie perennial, the musical plays an eight-week limited engagement through December 30.

According to the NY Times, Cherry Lane Theatre's Angelina Fiordellisi, will resign as Artistic Director sometime between March and June of 2011. Additionally, Fiordellisi plans to sell the building, which has been a Greenwich Village staple since 1924, due to ongoing financial struggles.
