Hope for Depression Research Foundation honored Mariel Hemingway, Demi Lovato and Caron Treatment Centers at their Ninth Annual Luncheon Seminar where they raised over $750,000 for advanced depression research.

In 1994, Bette Midler returned to New York after nearly 20 years in Los Angeles, and started the New York Restoration Project, a non-profit organization devoted to bringing abandoned and neglected parks, gardens, and open spaces in all five boroughs back to life. NYRP includes the beautiful New Leaf Cafe in Fort Tryon Park as part of its success, and is committed to helping restore parks and gardens devastated by Hurricane Sandy. The 20th Annual Watermill Center Summer Benefit took place on July 27, 2013 at the The Watermill Center in Water Mill, NY. Beginning at 6pm, the evening included cocktails provided by Bacardi USA, a silent auction, performances, art installations, dinner, dancing, and a live auction hosted by auctioneer Simon de Pury. More than 350 women -- leaders of industry, media, government, and the arts - gathered at The Plaza Hotel this afternoon for the Citymeals-on-Wheels 26th Annual "Power Lunch for Women." This by-invitation-only benefit, emceed by the "Good Morning America" Lifestyle Anchor Lara Spencer, raised over $1.1 million, or enough to provide more than 177,000 meals for New York's frail homebound aged.
