Teen Cancer America assists hospitals nationwide in the development of cancer units designed to give patients ages 13-24 positive physical and emotional outlooks. Cody Simpson, along with Olympic skating gold medalist Tara Lipinski, are two of Teen Cancer America's celebrity ambassadors and are participating in the Awards show, which will air on Thursday, August 1 from 8 - 10 p.m. ET/PT on the CW Network and will emanate from the Broad Stage in Santa Monica, CA.

Deadline.com reports that Tony nominee Tammy Blanchard is in talks to join Rob Marshall's movie adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's musical INTO THE WOODS for Disney. She would play the role of 'Florinda', one of Cinderella's stepsisters, alongside Lucy Punch as the other sister, and Christine Baranski as the evil stepmother.

According to Deadline, 2013 Tony nominee Billy Magnussen is in talks to play Rapunzel's Prince in Rob Marshall's film adaptation of Stephen Sondheim's musical INTO THE WOODS. Magnussen would replace Jake Gyllenhaal, who recently dropped out to focus on his upcoming indie flick NIGHTCRAWLER.

This year's honorees include: Lucy Hale ('Pretty Little Liars'), Kit Harington ('Game of Thrones'), Liam James ('The Way, Way Back'), Tatiana Maslany ('Orphan Black'), Kelly Osbourne ('Fashion Police') and AnnaSophia Robb ('The Carrie Diaries').

The film follows the events of May 1996 on Mount Everest, in which a group of climbers were caught in a deadly snowstorm during summit attempts, which resulted in eight deaths. The year marked Everest's most deadly season.
