Today at intermission, ANNIE celebrated the official launch of Sandy's Rescue Pals at the Palace Theatre, with Bill Berloni (Tony Award-winning animal trainer) and cast members Jaidyn Young, Sadie Sink, and Brooklyn Shuck, with a rescue dog from Bobbi and the Strays' shelter. Emmy Award-winning actress Jane Lynch, who stars in the hit FOXtelevision show 'Glee' as ruthless cheerleading coach Sue Sylvester, will soon make her Broadway debut as tyrannical orphanage matron Miss Hannigan in Annie. Lynch joins the production for eight weeks only, and according to the musical's official Twitter page, she will begin on May 15- one day sooner than previously announced.
Shout! Broadway has announced that the New 2012 Broadway Cast Recording for ANNIE is available for purchase at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway between 46th and 47th Streets), beginning tonight, May 7. The West Side YMCA's Marjorie S. Deane Little Theater will present its 3rd annual benefit cabaret, Little Theater, Big Dreams on Monday May 13th at 7PM. The Off-Broadway hidden gem, located inside the historic West Side Y, will play host to powerful performances from Broadway's brightest up-and-coming stars alongside their own Kids Company, a group of young (6-14 year old) triple-threats-in-training. Just yesterday, Kids' Night on Broadway kicks off at the immersive and educational Discovery Times Square; where there were unique theatre activities including: Autograph Alley with Broadway performers, a dance workshop with Revolucion Latina, Broadway Karaoke, stage makeup demonstrations, craft activities and much more including a free theatre activity guide. The Broadway Green Alliance also collected plastic bottle caps (plastic and metal) to incorporate in to the set for the new production of Peter and the Starcatcher Off-Broadway.

Lynch, a stage veteran of Chicago's Steppenwolf Theatre Company and The Second City, will be making her Broadway debut. She will play Miss Hannigan for eight weeks only, from Thursday, May 16 through Sunday, July 14.
