Casting Announced for THE CHRISTMAS SCHOONER

Mercury Theater Chicago, 3745 N. Southport Avenue THE CHRISTMAS SCHOONER will be sailing for its seventh year at Mercury Theater Chicago, from November 24 through December 31, 2017. Press opening is Friday, December 8th at 8:00pm. We are pleased to welcome new cast members to the Schooner family including Nicole Armold, Harter Clingman, Jared Rein, Ron Keaton, Ryan Stajmiger and Holly Stauder with Don Forston returning at the helm as Gustav Stossel. The cast will be led by the Jeff-award winning team of L. Walter Stearns (Director), Eugene Dizon (Musical Director) and Brenda Didier (Choreographer). Whether it is your first or tenth time seeing The Christmas Schooner, this heartwarming Chicago-centric story never fails to remind us what the holidays are all about: sharing love.

PlayMakers presents DOT, 11/22- 12/10

PlayMakers Repertory Company proudly presents the regional premiere of Dot by playwright/actor Colman Domingo ( Fear the Walking Dead, Wild With Happy ). Directed by Nicole A. Watson in her PlayMakers directorial debut, the production features PlayMakers' acclaimed company member Kathryn Hunter-Williams in the title role of Dot, and welcomes new company member Samuel Ray Gates. Dot runs from November 22 to December 10, 2017.

dick clark productions announced today that producer, songwriter and music superstar, Sean Diddy Combs, will receive the Hollywood Documentary Award for Live Nation Productions and Apple Music's Can't Stop Won't Stop: A Bad Boy Story, which features Sean Combs, Faith Evans, Lil' Kim, Mase, 112 and Notorious B.I.G. at the 21st Annual Hollywood Film Awards. Actress Kate Beckinsale will be in attendance to present the honor to Mr. Combs.

The Performing Arts Center at 32 Below to Present '2 BY FIERSTEIN' This Fall

On Today, November 3, the Performing Arts Center at 32 Below in New Milford will open 2 By Fierstein: The International Stud (part one of the multiple Tony Award-winning Torch Song Trilogy) and On Tidy Endings (from the award-winning Safe Sex). Both one act plays are written by Connecticut local, Harvey Fierstein.

Master Storyteller Mike Daisey presents TRUMP CARD Follow-up On Presidential Election Anniversary

Master storyteller Mike Daisey returns to Philadelphia Theatre Company with two new monologues that explore the normalization of Trump's administration and the rise and fall of the press. In the follow-up to critical smash The Trump Card, This Is Not Normal (November 9-11th) addresses the fever gripping all of us and how quickly that fever can become fascism. In The End of Journalism (November 10-11th), Daisey explores how journalism as we know it in America has ended, peeling back layers of real and fake news to find the darkly hilarious truth. Daisey's performances are part of PTC's 2017-2018 festival-style theatre season that includes plays, music, comedy and political commentary. Daisey is the third national voice at PTC this fall, following NPR's Bob Garfield and Golden Globe Winner Kathleen Turner. Normal and Journalism will take place at Philadelphia Theatre Company at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. Broad Street). Arthur Miller's ALL MY SONS Comes to Court Theatre

Court Theatre, under the continuing leadership of Charles Newell, Marilyn F. Vitale Artistic Director, and Stephen Albert, Executive Director, continues its 2017/18 season with All My Sons by Arthur Miller, directed by Charles Newell and featuring Kate Collins, John Judd and Timothy Edward Kane. All My Sons runs January 11 February 11, 2018 at Court Theatre, 5535 S. Ellis Ave. The press opening is Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 8:00 p.m.
