The Latino Community Foundation Partners With Univision News To Present The First 2018 Televised California Gubernatorial Forum, 'Moment Of Truth'

The Latino Community Foundation, who has the largest network of Latino philanthropists in the country, has partnered with Univision News, the leading multimedia company serving Latinos, to present the first 2018 televised California Gubernatorial forum called 'The Moment of Truth' on Thursday, January 25 at 6:00PM (PT). It was announced today by Jacqueline Martinez Garcel, CEO, Latino Community Foundation, and Lourdes Torres, Senior Vice President, Political Coverage, Univision Communications Inc. The 90-minute Forum will be televised live from 6:00-7:00PM (PT) on Univision Network and from 7:00-7:30PM (PT), the Forum will continue exclusively on Univision's digital livestream.

EgoPo Classic Theater Partners with the Drexel University Department of Performing Arts to Present the Future of American Playwriting

During their John Guare Festival and the World Premiere of Guare's epic Lydie Breeze Trilogy, EgoPo Classic Theater is collaborating with Drexel University's Performing Arts Department for an evening symposium, Future of American Playwriting, Saturday, February 3 at 4 p.m. The panel will feature John Guare and local playwrights Jacqueline Goldfinger, Bruce Graham, and James Ijames. The panel is moderated by Broad Street Review Editor in Chief Wendy Rosenfield. The symposium will be held in the Stein Auditorium in Nesbitt Hall at Drexel University, 3215 Market Street. SKIT Presents MARY POPPINS

After more than three decades of delighting audiences, award-winning ShowKids Invitational Theatre (SKIT) presents the magical family musical Mary Poppins with a cast that is nothing short of 'supercalifragilisticexpialidocious!' SKIT is working again with Flying by Foy to produce Mary's enchanted entrance. And audiences will 'step in time' to show-stopping numbers choreographed by SKIT veteran Krisy Nasto and Maria Mantak, who was recently inducted into the Perry Award Hall of Fame by the New Jersey Association of Community Theaters (NJACT).

Rose Theatre Kingston Announces Full Cast for CURTAINS

As part of their 10th anniversary season Rose Theatre Kingston today announces the full cast for Stephen Bill's award-winning play Curtains. Lindsay Posner directs Leo Bill (Michael), Caroline Catz (Susan), Jonathan Coy (Geoffrey), Tim Dutton (Douglas), Wendy Nottingham (Margaret), Saskia Reeves (Katherine), Sandra Voe (Ida) and Marjorie Yates (Mrs Jackson). The production opens on Wednesday 28 February, with previews from Thursday 22 February, and runs until Saturday 17 March.

Sasha Allen & Ricardo Zayas Join Aurora Barnes at Feinstein's/54 Below

Sasha Allen (The Voice, Pippin, Hair, Camp) and Ricardo Zayas (Hamilton) will join Aurora Barnes in Somewhere Between Sondheim and Lullabies at Feinstein's/54 Below on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 7pm. A portion of the proceeds from the show will benefit TADA! Youth Theater, of which Aurora, Sasha, and Ricardo are all alumni. Come hear songs ranging from Sondheim to Bob Dylan to Aurora's original compositions.

L.A. Chamber Orchestra's New IN FOCUS Series Debuts At Huntington Library And In Santa Monica

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra's virtuosic musicians serve as musical tour guides for In Focus, the Orchestra's newest chamber music series curated by Concertmaster Margaret Batjer, which launches on Thursday, February 15, 2018, 7:30 pm, at the Moss Theatre in Santa Monica, followed on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, 7:30 pm, at Rothenberg Hall, The Huntington Library in San Marino, a new venue for LACO, which features Calder tapestries inside the 400-seat auditorium. In Focus provides insights into the quintessence of some of the great chamber music repertoire through the lens of LACO's artists in an intimate setting. During LACO's 50th anniversary 2017-18 season, In Focus highlights the remarkable chamber works of Mozart and Brahms and launches with Brahms' Horn Trio and String Sextet in B-flat major and Mozart's D Major Flute Quartet. Featured LACO artists are Batjer, Violin Jacqueline Brand, Associate Principal Viola Victoria Miskolczy, Viola Robert Brophy, Principal Cello Andrew Shulman, Cello Trevor Handy, Principal Flute Joachim Becerra Thomsen, Principal Horn Michael Thornton and guest Bernadene Blaha, piano.

Theatre for the New City Presents SUBWAY STORY (A SHOOTING)

Innumerable American children and teens are exposed to gun violence at home, in school, in their communities and in the media. In 'Subway Story (A Shooting),' playwright/director William Electric Black means to elucidate the pressures that drive the epidemic in young people. The piece is the final installment of his five-play GUNPLAYS Series, which has dramatized the epidemic of gun violence using differing approaches and theatrical styles. Theater for the New City, which has presented the entire series, will mount 'Subway Story (A Shooting),' its final installment, February 22 to March 18 in its Community Theater.

Casting Announced For UK Tour of DR JEKYLL & MR HYDE

Touring Consortium Theatre Company and Rose Theatre Kingston today announce the full company for Robert Louis Stevenson's Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde adapted for the stage by David Edgar.
