Hub Theatre Company of Boston will close its critically acclaimed sixth season with the five-time Tony Award-winning play Peter and The Starcatcher by Rick Elice, with music by Wayne Barker, based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. The show will be directed by award winning local favorite Sarah Gazdowicz, with music direction by Bethany Aiken, and will run Friday, November 2 through Saturday, November 17, 2018 at First Church Boston, 66 Marlborough Street in Boston's Back Bay. Performances are Thursdays at 7:30 pm, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 pm, and Sundays at 5 pm. All performances are Pay-What-You-Can. Due to demand, The New Group has announced a three-week extension for Jerry Springer - The Opera, with Matt McGrath appearing as Jerry Springer beginning March 13. Terrence Mann, currently appearing in the role of Jerry Springer, plays his final performance March 11 due to an existing commitment beyond that date.
Dramahound Productions and Fool's Progress Productions present readings of a new one-act play, Autumn Leaves, by Anne Phelan. The play is inspired by photographer Tom Bovo's one-man show, Pasadena Leaves. Readings will be Sunday, November 19th, at 7 & 8 pm at Lazy Susan Gallery. Admission is free.

The Globe's Erna Finci Viterbi Artistic Director Barry Edelstein returns to the outdoor festival stage, with a cast featuring some of the nation's finest classical actors, to bring Shakespeare's iconic play to life. Revenge thriller, ghost story, psychological drama, political epic, and family saga, all packed in one, with unforgettable characters, theatrical masterstrokes, and world-famous lines. The Prince of Denmark comes home from college to find his father dead, his mother remarried to his uncle, and a spine-chilling apparition roaming the palace grounds. Hamlet plays August 6 - September 10, 2017, in the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. Previews run August 6-11, with opening night on Saturday, August 12 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets start at $30 and are on sale now to the general public.
