Salisbury Playhouse's spring/summer 2017 season has been announced and includes a brand new commission from award-winning playwright Barney Norris.

The St. James Studio is delighted to announce 16 events taking place over ten days in November as part of the EFG London Jazz Festival 2015. The St. James has been involved with the festival every year since the studio opened in October 2012, each year presenting more events than the last. Collaborating with established producers JBGB Events, Fane Management and Word Theatre, the St. James is proud to present a broad programme of lunchtime, evening and late night performances, catering for all tastes and bringing the finest artists to the St. James Studio stage.

Simon Stephens is one of Britain's foremost playwrights whose work includes Motortown (Royal court), Harper Regan(Royal National Theatre) and Wonderland (Royal Court Theatre). His multi-award adaptation of The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night transferred from the National to the West-End and recently opened on Broadway.

Uncle Vanya follows on from Anya Reiss' two previous modernisations of Chekhov, Three Sisters and The Seagull, both of which were performed at Southwark Playhouse. This third attempt to bring Chekhov into the 21st century is a fair effort thanks to strong performances from the cast.

Friends, today is a sad day. INTRUDERS, the creepy, paranormal series that reminds other shows in the genre that sophisticated writing and directing actually meshes really well with blood and gore, comes to an end. But if we've learned anything from tonight's episode, it's that “In the end, there is no end.” (Thanks for that wisdom, Richard.) So instead of wondering how we're going to fill our Saturday nights, let's have faith that there will be a season two (there better be a season two), take a walk down memory lane, and reminisce about tonight's season finale.

The first rehearsal images were released today for a new version of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya by multiple award-winning playwright Anya Reiss, premiering on Wednesday 8 October at St. James Theatre. Directed by Russell Bolam, Reiss's adaptation of Chekhov's masterpiece of modern theatre reignites the piece for a 21st century audience, revealing the universal difficulties of impossible love, longing and regret. Syfy set the stage for the second season premiere of its original hit drama series BEING HUMAN with an influencer campaign designed to bring the show's tagline 'Temptation is a Beast' to life. The campaign involved sending uniquely tailored 'temptation packages' to a select group of recipients including actor Neil Patrick Harris, noted entertainment blogger Perez Hilton and Bravo's Andy Cohen.
