BEAUTIFUL, KINKY BOOTS & More Set for Broadway in Fort Lauderdale's 2015-16 Season

Continuing its reputation as one of the nation's most successful theatrical houses, the Broward Center for the Performing Arts announces that the six-time Tony Award-Winner "Kinky Boots" along with the two-time Tony Award-winner "Beautiful - The Carole King Musical" will be among the six musical Broadway hits of the 2015-16 subscription series. The series is presented by Bank of America in partnership with Broadway Across America and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in association with Florida Theatrical Association.

The Denver Center for the Performing Arts 2015/16 Broadway season features Tony Award-winning hits and family favorites straight from Broadway including: MATILDA THE MUSICAL, IF/THEN (national tour launch), MURDER FOR TWO, A CHRISTMAS STORY, THE MUSICAL, A GENTLEMAN'S GUIDE TO LOVE AND MURDER, DISNEY'S NEWSIES and BEAUTIFUL - THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL. Martin Short to Depart IT'S ONLY A PLAY in March?

According to Telecharge.com, Martin Short will only be continuing with the production through the original closing date of March 29th. He is also out of the show on Sunday, February 15. We'll have to see who steps up as Short's replacement come spring!

Official: IT'S ONLY A PLAY Extends Broadway Run Into June!

Producers Tom Kirdahy, Roy Furman, and Ken Davenport announced today that the smash hit Broadway comedy It's Only a Play, which opened on Broadway on October 9, 2014, has extended its run through Sunday, June 7, 2015. Originally announced as a limited engagement through January 4th, It's Only a Play was recently extended through March 29th at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre (242 West 45th Street), where it will now play through June 7th. Tickets are now on sale for all performances. Colony Theatre to Present THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX, Begin. 2/11

The Colony Theatre will present the fourth production of its historic 40th Anniversary season, the West Coast Premiere of THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX by Catherine Bush, directed by Brian Shnipper. THE ROAD TO APPOMATTOX will preview on Wednesday, February 11; Thursday, February 12; and Friday, February 13 at 8:00pm. It will open on Saturday, February 14 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, March 15.
