Notre Dame's Department of Film, Television, and Theatre (FTT) announces LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, tonight, November 18-22 in the Decio Mainstage Theatre at the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center. Directed and choreographed by guest artist Nathan Halvorson, who previously helmed FTT's production of Cabaret (2013), LITTLE SHOP will also feature puppets by special effects makeup artist and puppeteer RJ Haddy, who was a finalist on Season 2 of the Syfy channel's reality competition series FACE OFF.

Astoria, New York, October 22, 2015-Museum of the Moving Image is pleased to announce 'The Hollywood Classics behindWalkers,' a screening series presented in conjunction with the exhibition Walkers: Hollywood Afterlives in Art and Artifact, the Museum's first major contemporary art survey. Through the work of 45 artists in painting, photography, sculpture, print, and video,Walkers examines the lasting impact of 20th-century film on culture, and the ability of its imagery to be recycled and reinvented by artists. Exhibition curator Robert M. Rubin has paired these artworks with a selection of rare movie ephemera including scripts, set photos, and costume design sketches, that when viewed through a 21st-century lens, serve as works of art in their own right.

In 1989, Disney revitalized both animation and musical theatre for generations to come with their Academy Award-winning film THE LITTLE MERMAID. They followed up that success with BEAUTY AND THE BEAST in 1991, which won another two Oscars, and then in 1992 they again broke the animated mold with ALADDIN, which took home two more trophies. Not only did these three films reinvigorate the nearly dead genre of animated musicals, but ALADDIN specifically inspired decades of films that were not only enjoyable to kids, but were also funny on another level that kept adults entertained as well.
