There are hot, sassy witches flying about the Ogunquit Playhouse in a production of The Witches of Eastwick, a musical comedy that has some memorable characters, high energy music and a fabulous set design.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Morgan Freeman has signed on for Seth MacFarlane's sequel to 2011's TED, joining Mark Wahlberg and Amanda Seyfried.

Little Shop of Horrors will open the new season at Theatre Lawrence, September 19-October 5! Winner of the best musical of 1983, this affectionate spoof of 1950's Sci-fi movies became one of Off Broadway's longest running shows. First seen as the 1960's black comedy by Roger Corman and screenplay by Charles Griffith, featuring Jack Nicholson, it then opened as the rock horror musical in 1982. The show combines the musical styles of 60's rock 'n' roll, do-wop and MoTown and includes several well known tunes such as Skid Row (Downtown), Somewhere That's Green, and Suddenly, Seymour.

The Lifetime Original Movie, Big Driver, premiering on Saturday, October 18 at 8pm ET/PT, is based on a short story written by best-selling author Stephen King and marks the first collaboration between Lifetime and King. This dark story of a young novelist hell-bent on revenge after falling victim to a brutal crime stars Golden Globe nominee Maria Bello (A History of Violence, McFarland), Academy Award winner Olympia Dukakis (Sex & Violence, Steel Magnolias), Grammy nominee Joan Jett, film and television veteran Ann Dowd (The Leftovers, Masters of Sex) and Will Harris (NCIS, Sky High).

It probably will come as shock to many to know that when the play, 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest,' a script by Dale Wasserman, based on Kent Kesey's novel of the same name, opened on Broadway in 1963, in spite of a cast that included Kirk Douglas, Gene Wilder, William Daniels, Ed Ames and Joan Tetzel, it was basically a flop, running only 82 performances.

Variety writes that Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go) is in negotiations to helm Warner Bros. upcoming prequel to THE SHINING, titled OVERLOOK HOTEL.

Emmy Award winner Sean Hayes has joined the cast of THE MILLERS as a series regular. His character will be introduced during the comedy's second season premiere, Thursday, Oct. 30 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The Ogunquit Playhouse, America's Foremost Summer Theatre, is pleased to present the first installment of a new post-show discussion series featuring the dynamic creators of Billy Elliot the Musical following the Today matinee on June 28 at 6PM.
