Adam Bock's new play, THE FLOWERS, will make its world premiere at the About Face CHICAGO XYZ Festival. The show makes his official opening on October 23rd and will run through November 7th. The cast will include Caron Buinis, Merrina Millsapp, Bruch Reed, Benjamin Sprunger, Brian-Mark Conover and Kieran Kredell.

Acclaimed theater company Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced nine initial performers who will participate in the return of its unique benefit evening STORIES ON 5 STORIES on Monday, November 9. Among those taking part in the special event will be two-time Academy Award winner and two-time Obie Award winner Diane Wiest (Memory House at Playwrights Horizons/PH, Hannah and Her Sisters, Bullets Over Broadway), Tony Award winner Debra Monk (Assassins at PH, Redwood Curtain, Curtains), Obie Award winner Jason Butler Harner (current Stage Manager in Our Town, Hedda Gabler, The Coast of Utopia), Clarence Derwent Award winner Zoe Kazan (100 Saints You Should Know at PH; Come Back, Little Sheba; Things We Want), Theatre World Award winner Cassie Beck (The Drunken City and Prayer for My Enemy at PH), Cristin Milioti (The Retributionists at PH, the upcoming The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter), Sue Jean Kim (The Drunken City and BFE at PH, 365 Days/365 Plays), Carmen M. OBIE winner Donna Lynne Champlin, who starred in the Broadway revival of Sweeney Todd, as well as James Joyce's The Dead, By Jeeves and Hollywood Arms, will perform her one-woman show, Finishing the Hat, as a benefit for the Drama Desk Award-winning, off-Broadway theatre company, Transport Group, on Monday, May 11, at 7:00pm, at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, 407 West 42 Street, at Ninth Avenue.

In keeping with the East Meets East Initiative, the Lower East Side Business Improvement District (LES BID) and Fourth Arts Block (FAB) partnered with Transport Group Theatre Company, winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, to promote local business during the company's world premiere production of the Off-Broadway musical, Being Audrey.

On Sunday, April 5 at 7pm two-time Tony Award nominee Mary Testa will perform her new one-woman show, Sleepless Variations, which tells a tale of one woman's sleepless night of fears, fantasies, and dreams, expressed through a cycle of songs by composers as varied as Jimi Hendrix, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Bj?rk.

Transport Group's BEING AUDREY Opens 4/5

Transport Group, the winner of a special 2007 Drama Desk Award and a 2007 Obie Award, has announced that celebrated journalist, novelist, and producer Dominick Dunne will provide voice-over narration for the world premiere musical, Being Audrey, which begins performances Friday, March 27, at 8pm at 220 East 4 Street, between Avenues A and B. The opening is set for Sunday, April 5, at 3pm.

The production has delayed its first preview originally planned for tonight, Friday 27th, the show will now begin on Saturday, March 28th to allow the company an extra amount of rehearsal time, stated a Transport Group spokesperson.

In Being Audrey, Claire Stark is the New York woman who has it all: a fabulous life, the husband of her dreams, and a view of Tiffany's from her Fifth Avenue apartment. When calamity strikes and her fairytale world threatens to collapse, Claire seeks refuge in her imagination, where she embarks on a hilarious, romantic adventure inspired by the films of her heroine, Audrey Hepburn.
