Minnetonka Theatre is taking it to the high seas this July as they present the zany romantic adventure Anything Goes on the Arts Center on 7's Main Stage. This production marks the on-stage reunion of two Twin Cities musical theatre favorites-Jody Briskey as Reno Sweeney, the evangelist-turned-nightclub singer, and Tod Petersen as Sir Evelyn Oakleigh, the wealthy and soon-to-be wed Englishman.
Production begins this week on Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, written and directed by Lorene Scafaria. The pre-apocalyptic comedy stars Golden Globe Award winner Steve Carell and Academy Award nominee Keira Knightley.
Zeitgeist Stage Company presents New England premiere of playwright Alan Ayckbourn's 70th play. Lead by 10-year old Hyacinth Tauriac (alternating with Alanna Logan) in a star turn, talented ensemble portrays adults behaving badly, as seen through the eyes of a child who puts it all down in her homework essay called 'My Wonderful Day.'

It pretty exciting to be a teenager cast in a semi-professional musical, but just imagine what it must be like for 14-year old Barry Riggins of Santa Rosa. Not only was he cast in the company of 'The 1940s Radio Hour' at Santa Rosa's 6th Street Playhouse, but the show has been adapted to feature the teen's acting and vocal talents.
