When Joseph Calleja recently performed in Quebec on his first North American recital tour, the Maltese tenor was brought back for five encores.

Among this year's nominees for Outstanding Musical Production is the American Repertory Theater's FINDING NEVERLAND, now in previews at Broadway's Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. The production's Laura Michelle Kelly also received a nod in the category of Outstanding Musical Performance by an Actress.

The Board of Directors of the Metropolitan Opera Guild is pleased to announce that Thomas M. Martin, current Director of Finance and Administration, has been named Managing Director, effective July 1st. Martin will succeed Stewart Pearce, who will retire after five years of service in that capacity, and thirty nine years with the Metropolitan Opera. In his new position Martin is responsible for overseeing programs, activities, marketing, development, employees and finances.

A landmark in modern drama which inspired the hits 'Cabaret' and 'Chicago' and which includes one of the most popular songs of the century, 'The Threepenny Opera' plays on the Clarence Brown Theatre Mainstage April 16 through May 3, 2015.

Walt Disney Animation Studios announced today that the animated film BIG HERO 6 will be available on Digital HD/Disney Movies Anywhere on February 3 and Blu-ray Combo Pack, Digital SD, DVD and On Demand on Feburary 24.

Rising Phoenix Repertory and Weathervane Productions have commissioned new plays from three female playwrights, which will each be produced over the next two seasons. Rising Phoenix Repertory's artistic director, Daniel Talbott, will direct all three plays. The first of the commissions onstage is Thieves by Charlotte Miller, making its world premiere at the Monroe Forum Theatre in North Hollywood, California, March 18, 2015 through April 4, 2015, co-produced by Rising Phoenix Repertory, Weathervane Productions and Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.
