Beginning today, Monday, August 24, onstage seating is now available for the Young Vic's critically-acclaimed production of Arthur Miller's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE directed by Ivo van Hove, which producers Scott Rudin and Lincoln Center Theater will bring to Broadway this fall. For a more immersive experience, audiences are now able to purchase onstage seats, located on two sides of the stage, for $50 each during previews ($135 each after opening). The view from these seats will be unrestricted and audience members will have a unique opportunity to be right beside the action onstage.

Producers Scott Rudin and Lincoln Center Theater have announced that actor Russell Tovey will play the role of Rodolpho in the Young Vic's critically-acclaimed production of Arthur Miller's A VIEW FROM THE BRIDGE directed by Ivo van Hove, opening on Broadway this fall. In addition, Richard Hansell, a member of the original Young Vic company, will reprise his role as Louis.

The Edinburgh International Festival opened last night with The Harmonium Project, a free outdoor animated performance that lit up the city's key concert hall, to celebrate 50 years of the Edinburgh Festival Chorus. Hall (Hedwig and the Angry Inch, 'Dexter') will lead the cast of LAZARUS, by David Bowie and Enda Walsh (ONCE, Tony Award), inspired by the novel The Man Who Fell to Earth by Walter Tevis, and directed by Ivo van Hove (Hedda Gabler, More Stately Mansions, Obie Awards). LAZARUS begins previews on November 18, with an opening night set for December 7, 2015.

'Casterbridge,' based on Thomas Hardy's classic Victorian novel, 'The Mayor of Casterbridge,' is a new musical theater work with book and lyrics by David Willinger and music by Christopher Beste. The 20-character, two-act musical is fairly faithful to Hardy's parable of the spiritual ups and downs of man and features a score inspired by English country music of the period. Theater for the New City will present the piece's world premiere run today, June 4 to 19, directed by Willinger.

Park Avenue Armory today announced the appointment of Pierre Audi as Artistic Director. A critically acclaimed director and artistic director, Audi will continue to lead the Dutch National Opera, a role he has held since 1988 while also serving as Artistic Director of the Holland Festival in Amsterdam from 2004 until 2014. He previously was the founding Artistic Director of the pioneering Almeida Theatre in London. Audi will join Park Avenue Armory in October 2015 to begin planning its 2017 season.
