The Young Vic's critically-acclaimed production of Arthur Miller's A View from the Bridge, directed by Ivo van Hove, opened just last night, November 12, at the Lyceum Theatre (149 West 45th Street). The production, which swept the 2015 Olivier Awards -- winning for Best Revival, Best Director, and Best Actor (Mark Strong), will play an 18-week limited engagement through Sunday, February 21, 2016. Stripped to the essentials - a stage, a handful of actors, a rapt audience - ANTIGONE recently proved once again its place in the pantheon of the world's finest tragic plays. The international production of the Sophokles drama made a short stop in Washington for the last leg of a national tour of select American cities, helmed by the Belgian theatre wunderkind Ivo van Hove.
