Kairos Italy Theater (KIT), the preeminent Italian theater company in New York City, is organizing In Scena! Italian Theater Festival NY, the first Italian theater festival to take place annually in all five New York City boroughs and beyond. The inaugural festival will be June 10 to 20, 2013. Buzzati, known as "the Italian Kafka," was one of the most significant Italian cultural figures of the last century. Additional performances have been added to the schedule and can be viewed below.

On November 7, at 7 p.m., the Museum of Jewish Heritage-A Living Memorial to the Holocaust and the Centro Primo Levi present the English premiere of The Mark of the Chemist, a staged reading starring John Turturro (O Brother, Where Art Thou) as Primo Levi and featuring New Yorker critic Joan Acocella and a soundscape by composer and guitar virtuoso Marco Cappelli (Art Spiegelman's In the Shadow of No Towers).
