A cherished tradition returns to Riverbend Music Center on the Fourth of July when the Cincinnati Pops presents the annual "Patriotic Pops" concert celebration. Entertaining for the whole family, John Morris Russell leads the family-friendly Pops performance also featuring the United States Army Chorus and local singer Adia Dobbins with Rozzi's Famous Fireworks after the concert. The Pops series is presented by PNC and kids 17 and under are free on the lawn thanks to Toyota.
Casting of Goodspeed Musicals' Cyrano is complete. Film and TV actor Blake Jenner will play Christian. He joins previously announced Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Peter Dinklage, who will play Cyrano alongside film actress Haley Bennett as Roxanne in this bold new musical.
Following a critically acclaimed, sold out run of Singin' in the Rain, the 2018 Broadway At Music Circus season continues with Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, a show Broadway World called a "daring, dazzling choreographic extravaganza." With iconic choreography and a Tony®-nominated score, this rollicking musical based on the beloved MGM film features a crafty and assertive young bride living in the 1850s Oregon wilderness. She attempts to civilize and marry off her six rowdy brothers-in-law, but her plan goes comically wrong. Featuring high-kicking dance numbers, heartfelt romance and soaring songs. Performances of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers are Tuesday, June 26 through Sunday, July 1 at the Wells Fargo Pavilion.

Singin' in the Rain is directed by Marc Bruni and choreographed by Rommy Sandhu with music direction by Ben Whiteley. Singin' in the Rain is proudly sponsored by Ameren.

Studio Theatre (FST) opens its second show of the Summer Sidekicks Cabaret Season, The Music of the Night, featuring the gifted jazz and swing sextet, The Swingaroos. Called a "Stellar group of musicians" and "Impressive" by Jay Handelman of the Sarasota Herald-Tribune, The Swingaroos bring their swingin'est versions of songs embraced by the worlds of theatre and jazz alike to the John C. Court Cabaret starting July 17.

The San Diego Symphony has announced its complete lineup for its Jazz @ The Jacobs and City Lights series for the 2018-19 season. Back for its fourth year, the successful Jazz @ The Jacobs returns with Gilbert Castellanos continuing in his role as series curator. From October through April, the five-concert series features a new and exciting lineup of programs and guest artists. MSMT's all-singing, all-dancing tribute to Irving Berlin, I Love a Piano, blew the Pickard Theater audience away at two Monday performances with its steady stream of classic hit tunes, its high energy choreography, and the dazzling virtuosity of its youthful cast. This was an afternoon and evening to sit back and revel in the rich history of American popular music and to celebrate a composer whose work provided the soundtrack for the American experience for almost seventy years. It is exciting to watch MSMT's cast of young professionals perform this material with so much connection and commitment. Though this is the music of past generations, the eleven-person ensemble of remarkable triple threat actors brings it vibrantly to life for a contemporary audience, affirming the truism that longevity is what makes great music.
Venice Theatre is once again turning its Pinkerton Theatre into Pinky's Cabaret for the sixth annual Summer Cabaret Festival with 20 different productions featuring some of the best cabaret acts in the state of Florida.
