Known for his uncensored melancholia, Asbury Park-based singer/guitarist Rick Barry returns to explore the terrain of failed love affairs, paralyzing self-doubt and mortality in his sophomore LP, Curses, Maledictions & Harsh Reiterations.

It is an actor's intent as old as time not to become boxed into a certain type of role or performative style, be it the ingenue, the sassy sidekick, or the bad boy too smolderingly handsome for his own good (not the worst problem to have, frankly). One essential key to eluding that conundrum is the laser-sharp understanding of who you are as a performer, outside of a given character or show. So what happens, then, when actors known primarily for their roles in musical theatre take to the stage to perform purely as themselves? The question was answered at Feinstein's/54 Below's Broadway Sings Their Own concert on August 29, as eight vastly disparate performers stepped into the spotlight, each to perform two original songs they wrote themselves, stripped of characters to hide behind.

Sirius XM The Pulse is set to air an exclusive concert special this Memorial Day weekend that was captured at the seventeenth installment of the star-studded “Live In The Vineyard” music festival in Napa Valley, California April 7-10. The three hour special, which will include stripped down acoustic performances by Andy Grammer, Ingrid Michaelson, Cold War Kids, Lukas Graham, Ben Rector, Daughtry, Zella Day, Tor Miller, Brendan James, Shawn Hook, The Strumbellas, AudioDamn!, Pentatonix and SafetySuit will premiere on Channel 15 this Friday, May 27th at 7pm EST. Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, presents the first ever public presentation of ANYTHING BUT LOVE on Sunday, June 26th, at 9:30pm. The musical has music and lyrics by Arielle O'Keefe, and book by Arianna Taxman and Ciara Renee.
