'What will grab people's attention with this piece is its enormous heart,' opined Cholerton. In The Next Room... focuses on a doctor at the turn of the century who is experimenting with a new electrical device to treat women with a variety of anxiety related symptoms. Not surprisingly, his patients continue to leave personal belongings behind to assure themselves an immediate second appointment. 'The play is indeed based on historical fact of the medical treatment of women at the time, but as is the case with any Sarah Ruhl play, you are taken into a world of heightened fantasy which has you engaged with these wonderful characters from start to finish. I believe In The Next Room will be one of the lasting plays to come out of the 00's decade,' concluded Cholerton.
