THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, directed by Daniel Sullivan, began performances for Shakespeare in the Park on Saturday, June 12. The Public Theater began Shakespeare in the Park performances of A Winter's Tale, directed by Michael Greif on June 9. Both shows will play in repertory through Sunday, August 1 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Andrew D. Hamingson) announced complete casting today for the 2010 Shakespeare in the Park summer season featuring THE WINTER'S TALE, directed by Michael Greif and THE MERCHANT OF VENICE, directed by Daniel Sullivan, running in repertory June 9-August 1 at the Delacorte Theater in Central Park. Tickets are free and distributed the day of the performance.

Beginning February 11 and running through March 13 (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings), THE HERITAGE - O'NEILL THEATRE COMPANY (a professional Helen Hayes Award-eligible company located in metropolitan Washington, D.C.) will be presenting Eugene O'Neill's lyrical 'A MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN' - a eulogy he wrote about his older brother, Jamie O'Neill, and which is often referred to as 'the follow-up' to his masterpiece, 'Long Day's Journey into Night.'
