Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra to Kick Off Yearlong Residency with NO PLACE TO GO, 1/21

Ethan Lipton & his Orchestra return to Joe's Pub at The Public for a yearlong residency, wherein they will perform a different show every month -- no two will be the same -- starting in January 2015. Lipton will kick off the residency on Wednesday, January 21 at 6:30PM with an encore performance of his show No Place to Go, which The Public Theater presented as part of the 2012 season.

Two River Theater, under the leadership of Artistic Director John Dias and Managing Director Michael Hurst, continues its 2012-2013 Season with Ethan Lipton's No Place to Go, a musical composed by Ethan Lipton, Eben Levy, Ian M. Riggs, and Vito Dieterle and performed by Ethan Lipton & His Orchestra. The production is directed by Two River Associate Artist Leigh Silverman. Performances will begin tonight, October 6 and continue through Sunday, November 4.

The 57th Annual Obie Awards were given out at a ceremony last night at Webster Hall in Greenwich Village. The awards were presented by acclaimed stage actors Eric McCormack, Grace Gummer, Hugh Dancy, Jonathan Pryce, Justin Bartha, Leslie Odom Jr., Lily Rabe, Michael McKean, Tonya Pinkins, Topher Grace, and Tracee Chimo.
