Composer Hyeyoung Kim's CAFE-IN Makes Star-Studded Return to Seoul, June 27-Sept 7

Composer Hyeyoung Kim's hit musical romantic-comedy, CAFE-IN, re-opens in South Korea on June 27th, 2014 at the KT&G SangSangArt Theater, for a limited run through September 7th, 2014. Performance schedule as follows: Tues-Fri @ 8pm/ Sat @ 3pm, 7pm/ Sun @ 2pm, 6pm, with a 4pm show during the week of July 25th-31st. Dark Monday nights.

SUNFISH Takes Top Jury Honor at Daegu International Musical Festival

SUNFISH, an American musical by the songwriting team of Michael Cooper and Hyeyoung Kim was awarded the top Jury Honor for Music Theater Production at the Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) on July 8, 2013. DIMF is the largest international Musical Theatre Festival in the world. SUNFISH was invited to open the Festival on June 17, 2013, and was one of over fifteen Official Invitational productions from all over the world. It was previously presented at the NAMT Festival, TRU Musical Series, and Disney/ASCAP Workshop with Stephen Schwartz.

Sunfish to be Featured at Lincoln Center Music Series, 5/20

Sunfish, the musical by the award-winning songwriting team of Michael Cooper and Hyeyoung Kim, will be featured as part of the Broadway's Future Songwriters Series at the Bruno Walter Auditorium, Lincoln Center in Manhattan, on Monday, May 20th at 6 pm. Songs from Sunfish will be sung by a cast soon to be announced. The evening is produced and directed by John Zindarsic. The performance is presented by Arts and Artists at St. Pauls, and is free and open to the public.

2011 MAC Award Nominations Announced!

Hosted by Christine Pedi, the 2011 MAC Awards will take place on Tuesday, Mat 10 and B.B. King Blues Club and Grill. The ceremony will honor Annie Ross for Lifetime Achievement and George Sanders with the MAC Board of Directors Award.

ZOMBIE Wins Award at Washington DC Film Festival

ZOMBIE has won the Best Short Film (Horror) award from the Washington DC Independent Film Festival. The ZOMBIE team of director Thomas Caruso, lead actor/screenwriter Bill Connington, and producer Michael Cooper, attended the screening of the film on March 7th in Washington. ZOMBIE is a short film based on the award-winning play penned by and acted in by Connington. It was presented at the New York International Fringe Festival, Off-Broadway at Theater Row for an extended run, and at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater in New York. ZOMBIE is based on the award-winning novella by famous American author Joyce Carol Oates. The ZOMBIE team is currently developing the property as a feature film.
