We all know about the boy who lived, but you probably don't know about his Hufflepuff classmates. Well, never fear. Off-Broadway's hit comedy PUFFS is here to better acquaint with this group of earnest castoffs who are always just outside of the spotlight. To get the inside scoop on the side-splitting play and its Kickstarter backed filming on February 3 and 4, we chatted with actress Jessie Cannizzaro.

PUFFS or: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic & Magic which recently celebrated its one-year anniversary as a hit Off Broadway has announced its special expanded 2017 Holiday Schedule.

New York: Victor L. Cahn's Romantic Trapezoid will get its world premiere directed by Alberto Bonilla at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre. The show will begin performances on November 4, and open on November 8, running through November 25, 2017 at Theatre Row's Lion Theatre (410 West 42 Street). CPA Theatricals, the Chicago non-profit organization dedicated to developing new musicals and creating opportunities for young people to experience musical theatre, has reached an agreement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide for licensing of its new musical 57TH NATIONAL MATHLETE SUM-IT (THE ALMOST ALL-GIRL MATH MUSICAL).

When I posted a short reaction to BREEDERS on Facebook, a friend commented: So the play compares gay men to hamsters!? No, but Dan Giles traces, in parallel, the lives of a gay couple expecting the birth of a baby via a surrogate, and the lives of a bickering hamster couple expecting pup, to profitable and mostly entertaining ends.Mikey and Dean, now in their early 30s, have been dating since they were teenagers, when each was the only gay man the other knew. Mikey (Alton Arburo), a successful young professional who does Crossfit and likes sports, is what Armistead Maupin called in Tales of the City an A gay (or at least a proto-A Gay, as he's still making his way up the socioeconomic ladder). Dean (Jacob Perkins) is a smart, nerdy, sensitive man who, by his own admission, looks like his mother still dresses him.

Charolais, a truly unique and engaging show, is now onstage at 59E59 Theaters through September 24. Written and performed by Noni Stapleton, this one-woman production cleverly captures passion, heartache, and deep feelings about motherhood from multiple perspectives.

he New York Musical Festival (NYMF) and CPA Theatricals present Numbers Nerds, the [almost] all-girl math challenge, with book by Laura Stratford, Music by David Kornfeld, lyrics by Alex Higgin-Houser, additional music by Dylan MarcAurele and original story by Larry Little.

Lesser America (Half Moon Bay, The Bachelors, Carnival Kids, Trevor) presents the New York Premiere of IN A WORD by Lauren Yee, winner of the 2016 Francesca Primus Prize and a finalist for the ATCA/Steinberg Award. Directed by Tyne Rafaeli (The Bridges of Madison County national tour, Actually at Geffen Playhouse), performances run through July 8 at Cherry Lane Theatre, where Lesser America continues its run as the inaugural Company in Residence. Crystal Skillman's play Wild is now published. Last night there was a reading at the Drama Book Shop with the original NYC cast members Hunter Canning, Jeff Ronan, David Armanino, Joshua Levine, and Diana Stahl, the special event was followed by a signing.

Jon Brittain's Rotterdam, the 2017 Olivier Award winner for Outstanding Achievement in an Affiliate Theatre, has played at Theatre503, Trafalgar Studios and 59E59 Theaters in New York. The bittersweet comedy, which addresses gender, sexuality and identity, returns to the West End this month for a run at the Arts Theatre.

Due to popular demand, the show will add a regular Thursday evening performance at 7:30 PM beginning June 8. PUFFS - presented by TILTED WINDMILLS THEATRICALS - takes a second look at everyone's favorite world of wizards through the eyes of the Puffs, a lovable group of magical misfits.

The American Playwriting Foundation (Executive Director David Bar Katz), established to make annual grants to new American plays, has selected Aleshea Harris for The 2016 Relentless Award, the largest annual cash prize in American theater awarded to a play.

Omega Kids is now being performed at Access Theater through Sunday, March 25th. Written by Obie Award-winner Noah Mease and directed by Jay Stull, it is an insightful view into the feelings of two young men.

SANCTUARY, a home for feminist/queer/minority voices continues its residence at HERE where it opened on Inauguration Day. SANCTUARY is a pop-up venue for artists and activists to come together as a community and respond to current events, in particular the fears and anxieties felt in anticipation of the coming administration.

New Light Theater Project (Strange Country, In the Soundless Awe) will present the 25th anniversary revival of SIGHT UNSEEN, Donald Margulies' 1992 Pulitzer Prize finalist and Obie Award-winning drama. Directed by Jerry Heymann, previews began February 8 at Access Theater in Tribeca, with on February 11.
