Carnegie Hall today announced that its one-night-only concert performance of The Sound of Music on Tuesday, April 24 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage will star Laura Osnes (Bonnie & Clyde, Anything Goes, Grease) as Maria Rainer alongside Tony Goldwyn (Broadway's Promises, Promises and film version of Ghost) as Captain von Trapp.

Roundabout Theatre Company announced tonight that Stephanie J. Block will return as "Reno Sweeney" to the 2011 Tony® Award winning musical comedy Anything Goes on March 15, 2012, replacing Sutton Foster in the iconic role.

Sarofin Hall is set to welcome the French bourgeois, presenting the national tour of LES MISERABLES for a week-long, revolutionary engagement from November 6 through the 11th. As first reported in the Hollywood Reporter, media queen Oprah Winfrey is considering a return to the big screen in Lee Daniel's film THE BUTLER. The film will tell the story of Eugene Allen, an African-American who served as a butler in the White House through eight presidential administrations from 1952 - 1986.

As first reported on Deadline.com, actress Kearran Giovanni will be co-starring in the upcoming TNT series MAJOR CRIMES, a spin-off from the cable network's popular series 'The Closer'.

Theatre fans everywhere are already itching to see Les Misérables brought to the big screen, and though the film isn't due to hit theatres until December 7, rehearsals have already begun for the new movie. Cameron Mackintosh announced today that Ramin Karimloo will extend his run playing 'Jean Valjean' in the legendary musical "LES MISÉRABLES" at the Queen's Theatre until 31 March 2012. David Shannon will then return to the role of 'Jean Valjean' from Tuesday 3 April - Saturday 16 June 2012. He will be followed by Geronimo Rauch who will play the role from Monday 18 June 2012 until Saturday 15 June 2013

The highly anticipated movie version of LES MIS is currently in production, and last night, February 12, several of the stars of the film were in attendance at the 2012 BAFTA Awards.
