According to Showbiz411, country music star Taylor Swift had vied for the role of 'Eponine' in the blockbuster film LES MISERABLES. The news was revealed at a recent party when Les Mis producer Cameron Mackintosh told the site's Paula Schwartz that the young pop star had auditioned for the role.
LES MISERABLES Soundtrack Reaches No. 1 on Billboard Chart

According to Billboard.com, 'Les Miserables: Highlights From the Motion Picture Soundtrack' is currently No. 1 on the Soundtracks chart, selling 43,000 in less than three full days on sale, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The recording stands at No. 33 on the Billboard 200.

"To love another person is to see the face of God" - Colm Wilkinson's Bishop Myriel of Digne and Anne Hathaway's Fantine, together with Hugh Jackman's Jean Valjean, sung those arguably the most indelible lyrics by tail end in the Tom Hooper-helmed musical motion picture, "Les Miserables," a faithful film adaptation based on the 1987 Tony Award-winning musical, written by Claude-Michel Schonberg, Alain Boublil, and Herbert Kretzmer, which in turn was inspired by the French historical novel of the same name, published in 1862, by Victor Hugo, a well-known French Romantic poet and novelist who had evident antipathy toward the leaders of the Roman Catholic Church; but, interestingly, had high regard for the Church's doctrines.

Guests of Holland America's Statendam were treated to a magnificent concert by tribute artist Les Lankhorst on this year's Christmas cruise to the Panama Canal. For one night only, Lankhorst took the stage and presented a beautiful selection of standards made famous by vocal giants: Frank Sinatra, Mel Tormé, Nat King Cole, Harry Connick, Jr., Bobby Darrin and Hugh Jackman.
