MAMMA MIA International Tour Extends Its Run Through 1/17/10

Due to overwhelming demand, the international tour of 'MAMMA MIA!' will extend its scheduled run from 12 December 2009 - 10 January 2010 by an extra week until 17 January 2010. 'MAMMA MIA!' is already the highest selling event that the Metro Radio Arena has had in thirteen years with over 70,000 tickets sold so far.

Disney Theatrical Productions will be hosting open auditions for the Broadway and National Touring companies of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's MARY POPPINS, in Denver on Sunday, May 17 at The Newman Center for Theatre Education at The Denver Center for the Performing Arts for children who can sing, dance, and act to play 'Jane Banks' and 'Michael Banks.' Children of all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

Center Theatre Group and producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh announced today that tickets for the eagerly anticipated production of Mary Poppins will go on sale to the public on Sunday, May 10 at 11am. Mary Poppins begins performances at the CTG/Ahmanson Theatre on November 13, 2009, for a limited engagement. Opening is set for Sunday, November 15 at 6:30 p.m.

Disney Theatrical Productions and Fox Associates have announced that tickets for the St. Louis premiere of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's MARY POPPINS featuring original Broadway stars Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee will go on sale to the public on Sunday, April 26 at 10 a.m. Tickets will be available at the Fox Theatre box office and all MetroTix outlets.

The UK Telegraph's Mandrake reports that Abba's Bjorn Ulvaeus is not happy with the rumored plan for a MAMMA MIA! movie sequel, 'It wouldn't work,' the Swedish musician told the reporter at a party at the Café de Paris to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the hit West End show that inspired the film.
