This October, Sport For Jove and The Seymour Centre present Howard Barker's pertinent political play, NO END OF BLAME, as part of the Seymour Centre's Reginald Season for 2017.

Theatre Y announces a new artistic home at 4546 N. Western Ave. and a new artistic partnership with Red Tape Theatre. The new 3,300-square feet space offers a flexible black box performance area with an audience capacity of up to 75 seats, a spacious lobby, and rehearsal space for the two companies to utilize.

Red Tape Theatre announces their move to a new home, which will be shared with their artistic partner Theatre Y.

Judith: A Parting From The Body by internationally-renowned playwright Howard Barker returns to the stage for a UK tour this autumn, telling the apocryphal story that has fascinated artists for centuries.  Barker, lauded by The Times as 'England's greatest living dramatist', pulls back the dusty sheets of Holofernes' tent in this radical re-telling revealing what really happened in this mystic tale.

Pantry Boys, a new play by Daniel Sauermilch, directed by Carl Andress (The Divine Sister), and featuring Pico Alexander (Punk Rock at MCC, upcoming feature film "Home Again"), Jared Zirilli (Romance Language, Pretty Filthy with The Civilians) and Nick Imperato (Antony & Cleopatra: Infinite Lives) will be included as part of the Potomac Theater Project's (PTP/NYC) After Dark Series.

Exeter Northcott Theatre has just announced that the highly acclaimed and much loved actress Dame Judi Dench has accepted to be Patron for its 50th anniversary year, 2017-2018.

The Mercury Playwriting Prize, in this inaugural year, received over 160 entries from emerging local writers. 2017's winner is actor Oliver Bennett whose play, Europe After The Rain, is a darkly surreal and highly theatrical exploration of the world we live in now. It offers up a dark mirror to the concerns of contemporary Britain: immigration, enfranchisement, globalisation, loss and love.

Five finalists have been shortlisted for the first WiT Award, a prize created to discover and nurture new writers working in the theatre industry. The winner will be announced at a reception on 25 May.
