Miners Alley Playhouse presents, 'Little Shop of Horrors' July 15 through August 21 in Golden.

Turning an animated film into a live stage production has its challenges, and Disney's "THE LITTLE MERMAID" is no exception .

In The Wings Productions, under the leadership of Artistic Director Tanya Glassman and Executive Producer Adam Glassman, presents Disney's Beauty and the Beast at the historic Snug Harbor Music Hall from July 15-24. Tickets are $20-$30.

We caught up with lyricist and book writer Chad Beguelin just as Aladdin opened in the West End last week - and he was very excited.

Sierra Stages continues its 2016 season with the devilishly delightful hit musical "Little Shop of Horrors" at the historic Nevada Theatre in Nevada City this summer from July 14 through August 6. "Little Shop of Horrors" is one of the most popular musicals of all time-the show debuted off-Broadway in 1982 and ran for five years, was made into a popular and memorable film (starring Rick Moranis and Steve Martin) in 1986, premiered on Broadway in 2003, and has received thousands of professional and amateur productions over the past 35 years. The Sierra Stages production is directed by Robert Rossman, with musical direction by Ken Getz. The set and lighting design is by Erin Beatie and costume design is by Jill Kelly. The cast includes Nevada County actors Jay Barker, Audrey Delgado, Nancy Haffey, Jackie Kolenko, JR Lewis, Ken Miele, Tracy Nickle, Conor Nolan, and Kim Wellman.

Last night, Wednesday 15 June, saw the Opening Night of Disney's new West End musical Aladdin at the Prince Edward Theatre, London. Footage is also available to download featuring the cast's curtain call bows, celebrity arrivals on the carpet and interviews with the Aladdin cast and creative team including Dean John Wilson (Aladdin), Trevor Dion Nicholas (Genie) and Jade Ewen (Jasmine), composer Alan Menken and director and choreographer Casey Nicholaw at the post-show party at the National Gallery.

Aladdin will have its official opening night at the Prince Edward Theatre tonight, June 15. Disney's new West End musical began preview performances on Friday 27 May and tickets for the spectacular production are now on sale for performances up to and including 11 February 2017. Paradise Theatre announces seven family-friendly and diverse shows for its 2016-2017 Season to be presented in their NEW Downtown venue as they continue their capital campaign "Act Local" to save LIVE theatre in Gig Harbor by creating a permanent home for the performing arts and arts education in Gig Harbor. 

Besides the Hollywood Bowl's all-star concert event, THE LITTLE MERMAID also made a splash at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts.
