Pianist Daniel Wnukowski Commences Recording Cycle Of Complete Solo Piano Works By Karol Rathaus

Following solo and concerto performances at Queens College's Karol Rathaus Festival last month, Polish-Canadian pianist Daniel Wnukowski (vnoo-koff'-skee) further champions the music of this long-neglected Galician-Jewish composer with the launch of a recording cycle of Karol Rathaus's complete works for solo piano. The project, spanning four volumes on Toccata Classics, is an extension of Mr. Wnukowski's advocacy for music suppressed by the Nazi regime, and all of the works on Volume 1 appear on recording for the first time.

Next up for Cleveland's Theatre in the Circle is an innovative new production of the much-loved classic You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown!, the 1967 musical with music and lyrics by Clark Gesner based on the characters created by Charles M. Schulz in the comic strip Peanuts. This production features an over-50 cast of acclaimed Cleveland area theatre professionals. You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown! runs May 9 through 12th, 2019, with all shows taking place at Judson Manor, 1890 E. 107th Street. Maisie Williams to Star in THE OWNERS

It was announced that Maisie Williams is set to star in the 90's-set thriller THE OWNERS, directed by Julius Berg, with a screenplay by Berg and Matthieu Gompel, based on comic book from renowned artist Herrmann and written by Yves H. The film is produced by Alain de la Mata at UK-based Bluelight, and executive produced by XYZ Films. XYZ will handle North American sales with Versatile handling international at the upcoming EFM in Berlin. The film will shoot this spring in Kent, close to London, in an isolated Victorian mansion, with casting by Dan Hubbard.

The Rachel Thorne Germond Performance Collage will perform a program of multimedia works, including two premieres, created by Germond between 2017 and 2019 incorporating video projection, performance, and photography. Intrigued by a wide range of random and disparate inputs from modern life, choreographer Germond employs multiple strategies of investigation, in which ambiguous juxtapositions and new unfamiliar languages come to life.
