The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles® (BAFTA Los Angeles) has announced that it will add a British Designer Showcase to its 2011 Britannia Awards on Wednesday, November 30 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The Hollywood Awards, presented by Starz, announced today that the 15th Annual Hollywood Awards Gala ceremony, honoring excellence in motion pictures, both in front of and behind the camera, will take place on Monday, October 24, 2011, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Through the years, the Hollywood Awards Gala has become a bellwether for the Oscars and it has become known as the first event that launches the awards season. 'The New York Times' says that the Hollywood Awards Gala is the first mandatory stop in the awards season. In the last 8 years, a total of 73 Oscar nominations and 27 Oscars were given to the nominees and honorees of the Hollywood Awards.
BAFTA LA Renames Britannia Award

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles (BAFTA Los Angeles) announced today that it will rename its Britannia Award for Worldwide Contribution to Filmed Entertainment in honor of Albert R. 'Cubby' Broccoli, pioneering producer of the James Bond franchise.
Jeremy Irvine To Lead New GREAT EXPECTATIONS Film; Joins Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter et al.

Jeremy Irvine, who will soon be seen on the big screen in Steven Speilberg's War Horse, will lead a new film adaptation of Charles Dicken's Great Expectations, according to The Hollywood Reporter. He will join a cast that includes Ralph Fiennes, Helena Bonham Carter, Sally Hawkins (Mrs. Warren's Profession on Broadway), Robbie Coltrane, Ewen Bremner, Jason Flemyng, Tamzin Outhwaite, David Walliams and Holliday Grainger. Filming will begin in the UK on October 10.
Michael C. Hall to Star in BIG FISH on Broadway?

As reported by Variety, the Showtime network and actor Michael C. Hall, star of Showtime's hit series 'Dexter', have been locked in contract negotiations for several months. Now Variety reports that if an agreement can be successfully reached between the cable network and the actor, Hall would be allowed to star in the upcoming Broadway musical adaptation of Tim Burton's, BIG FISH.

Production has begun in London on LIFE'S TOO SHORT, the new comedy series from Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant (creators of the Golden Globe-winning BBC comedy series 'The Office' and the HBO series 'Extras' and 'The Ricky Gervais Show'). The seven-episode series will debut on BBC Two later this year and on HBO in 2012.

Larry King sits down with the cast of Harry Potter leading up to the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. The one-hour special, airing July 10 at 8 and 11pm ET will feature interviews with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Helena Bonham Carter and Robbie Coltrane, as well as never before seen footage from the film days before its worldwide premiere. Additionally, James and Oliver Phelps, who play the Weasley twins, take viewers on a tour of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at the Universal Orlando Resort and interact with fans on the eve of the final Harry Potter movie. The special will also air on CNN International.
